After two successful originals with support from Cioz, Floyd Lavine, Fairchild, Marsh, STAB Virus, Lady M, Kyle Watson and Strange Loving, Ambious founders MKLY & Sides asked some of the local scene's most prolific artists for their own interpretation of either one of the tracks. 'Avi Subban kicks things off with a fresh perspective on Dxgma, stripping the multi-faceted original down to it's core before building it back up with bounce, swing and some isolated, organic percussion. With another rendition of the same track, Deep Aztec wastes no time taking us as deep as the original did. An offbeat kick sequence, raw signal-synth melody and real-hand claps - just another example of his constant battle against the status quo. Third on the list, Cadenza turns the entire EP on its head with an uplifting, progressive take on Konvoy - one that oozes emotion. DR. 1MORE follows this up with a solid dose of groovy baseline stabs that make their way through the track. Accompany this with some ambient tones and you've got the perfect dance floor opener. Closing out the EP with another remix of Konvoy, HouseHold Funk layers a dark, sustained baseline with natural keys and strings, leaving us with wide open spaces and a beautiful play on the original's melody.'

to great lengths in creating something they can extract pleasure from.
It is with this kind of dedication to give full scope and exploration to unknown realms inside
his musical development that Jon Donson’s latest accomplishment can be described.
The main track blasts in full bloom to this effect right from the get go. Hypnotic advancement
is instantly bestowed through its sprouting shoots and essences within. Even with an overall
reduction both original songs transcend a summery ease in perfection. Incessantly we let the
rhythms and exquisite sounds carry us to where only natures pulse can caress us, protected
and safe, allowing picturesque associations freely.
Patrick Podage, a fellow studio mate contributes a fulminate and healthy secondary
interpretation of the main track. Arranging the instruments on higher frequencies, building
the frame and its distinctive structure to be emphasized by the ripe bass line is what makes
this track what it is. He incorporates the original sounds smartly, and creates tantalizing
variations with independent accents. Jon Donson delivers additionally a second original track,
called “You and Me” – nice and smooth as well.
The oeuvre elicits the pollen, the elixir of life from within – gliding and infecting minds and
souls heatedly. Satisfyingly we can confirm the emergence of the next generation in our
biosphere, so lets rave on...

After countless successful releases, leading South African artist Avi Subban joins the Swoon Recordings ranks with a powerful 2 track EP that fuses his organic palate with his melodic prowess entitled, ‘Seduction’ that paves the way for his upcoming album.

With releases on many of South Africa’s biggest Deep House record labels, Avi Subban has set a name for himself in the industry that continues to inspire and keep progressing toward industry-leading success. With a focus on eclectic rhythms throughout the House music spectrum, Avi Subban showcases his versatility and abstract approach to music on his latest Seduction EP.

Exploring the darker side of his sound, the title track of the EP, ‘Seduction’ wastes no time in delivering a powerful and organic-infused masterpiece that is built upon an edgy vocal hook delivered by Je Suis Ohne and a seductive melody that emanates throughout the whole song, wielding the listener through its emphatic atmosphere that Avi has become known for.

On the second track of the EP, we see Avi Subban team up with South African born, Berlin-based artist, MKLY for a climactic ending to this enigmatic EP with, ‘Mystery’. Taking a lead from the title of the track, entrancing melodies and subtle variations keep the listener on their toes while an undulating bassline smoothly flows throughout the song, accompanied by nostalgic vocals and an energetic percussive element that keep the momentum high and the mood at the forefront. Showcasing the true combination of these two artists in a unique and compelling way and closing things off on a good note.

Referencing analog timbres and modulations of a “cosmic” description, to distorted guitars and slap-back vocals, this EP is able to give you a fresh sound with a sense of nostalgia in both songs.
