Field Records is to release a two-CD compilation and three vinyl samplers of music from the label's artists old and new entitled simply, Collection.

This second sampler pulls together three tracks of deep, dubby and ambient music from French producer duo Polar Inertia, Remote_ and Sweden's Varg. His track 'Ohns Odegard' is a serene and autumnal bit of ambient with swollen pads and incidental synths making for a soothing atmosphere. Remote_'s 'Echo Of You' is just as wide open and serene but has a warm, rubbery pulse driving it along and finally Polar Inertia gets a little frazzled and intense with their loopy slow techno roller 'Sonic Outlaws'.

01 She Knows - Sektor Evolution (Original Mix)

The single "Sektor Evolution" is a musical reminiscence of a club night in the legendary Dresden electro underground club “Sektor Evolution” at the end of May 2022. The pandemic's lockdown restrictions were lifted, and partying was finally possible again. The underground sound of this party by the collective Syn.thie.Verrückt inspired She Knows, consisting of Spanish singer Teresa Tomás and her musical partner Marcel Dadalto, so much that they immediately went into the studio for a jam session the following week to lay the foundations for this song. The result is an extremely danceable, technoid synth-pop song that beckons you to take a chance on love; an invitation to let go and surrender - to the music as well as to your own longing. "If you're feeling what I feel, how not to love", sings Teresa in her unmistakably smoky voice, which immediately touches the heart when listening to it. "If all you've got are fears then let me."

Niconé, known for his multifaceted talents in music and fashion, launched his career in 2007. His work, whether solo or in collaboration with artists like Sascha Braemer, Jan Blomqvist, and Philip Bader, defies easy categorization. Instead, Niconé's music evokes powerful emotions: the unity of a dance floor, the magic of sunrise at a peak moment in a party, and the bittersweet nostalgia of moments past coupled with the excitement of the future.

David Hasert, a cornerstone of Cologne's electronic music scene and founder of LIKE Records, has made significant contributions both as a DJ and a live act. His influence extends through his role at the renowned club Reineke Fuchs, where his high-quality bookings have driven the club’s success. Hasert’s extensive discography includes releases on his own label, as well as on Beats In Space, Dantze, and Kompakt Records with his project DAMH alongside ADA. His global tours and performances, including a highlight set at the iconic Burning Man Festival, underscore his impact on the scene.

Saxooo

Luca Musto, the Berlin-based producer—known for blending the grit of jazz, the aching soul of blues, and the warmth of downtempo grooves and house—has found a new edge. This EP isn’t just slow-house with hypnotizing melodies; it’s Luca stepping out of his comfort zone, ripping through the seams of downtempo safety nets and into the uncharted waters of a career’s next level. It’s bold. It’s raw. It’s the sound of an artist refusing to stand still.
“I worked on these tracks early in 2024,” Luca says, “and spent the summer road-testing them across Europe—clubs, festivals, wherever the music could speak. The feedback shaped the final version of each song, turning good ideas into great ones.” You can hear it in the details. Each beat is a story. Each melody, a confession.

Luca has graced Moodfamily before, with standout releases and unforgettable appearances on compilations, always hitting the sweet spot. I come from the small but warm city of Jamshedpur, yet most of my life has been spent across India, mainly in Delhi and Mumbai. I’m an MBA graduate from ISB who has always found a home in music. From playing at every party on campus to discovering sounds across cities, what started as pure passion turned into something deeper. I’ve now taken that love forward by learning DJing, not just as a hobby, but as a way of living.
