After a solid education in multiple classical instruments and drums Matthias Schuell took an 
unlikely choice to enter the electronic scene as a producer, DJ and live act. Since January 2019 he concentrates on his more and more growing solo career. Always keeping an energetic vibe in his productions he tries out different tempos and styles and creates music with a broad portfolio of sounds and instruments. 

In his powerful live sets he uses his talent to support his music with live drums and piano elements. 

His first EP „Scarabaeus“ in June 2018 on Niconé's imprint Dantze was played by Joris Voorn, 
Artbat, Animal Picnic, Moonwalk and many more and quickly took the pole position to become the number one song of the Dantze label on Beatport. His EP „Hoodoo“ on Einmusika in May 2019 chartet in 
the Beatport Top 10 Releases in the genres „Techno“ and „Melodic House & Techno“ for several weeks. Since 2018 he holds a residency and works as the labelmanager at the Ritter Butzke Club Berlin.

No doubt – MATCHY can be considered as a leading synonym for modern deep and dynamic techno and house. With a profound sense and a highly empathic absorption, MATCHY sprinkled continuously sales charts and playlists with dozens of significant releases with different projects over the past years.

An impressive amount of loyal followers, supporters and fans have grown over the time. For a good reason! The enormous qualitative output settled down in the release catalogues at some of the foremost labels in the electronic underground scene within the last years.

Alongside more than 10 contributions on the infamous Katermukke label, MATCHY placed an incomparable stamp on the imprints music. Following coups with a vigorous effect happened on Coyu’s Suara Music or Oliver Koletzki’s Stil vor Talent. Moreover, imposing appearances were planted on top-class labels like Hive Audio, Heinz Music, Bar 25, 3000 Grad or Beatfreak Recordings.

Lately did enthusiasts of emotional and driving techno wonder how such a new youngster was destroying the dance floor. No matter if it was at Sonnemondsternefestival or Katermukke Label Nights 2017 and 2018 in Hamburg as well as Cologne. Every time it has been a so and emotionally outstanding, that checking the line up was an obligatory move to make. And then it always said: LEVT.
You can already tell, that he is one of the most uprising stars of his generation. But no wonder, since the young DJ and producer grew up surrounded by electronic music. Early inspirational influences have been Daft Punk and The Chemical Brothers. These were followed by the music universe of Katermukke. Since he has been 16 years old he spent every free second at the turntables to refine his sound.
Still on the side there was high school to be finished and juniors A-league football not to be neglected. But it turned out his heart is beating with and for the music so there was no other option than throwing himself into producing his own music. The result is his first EP “The Beast”, which is released on Voltage Records. As the name already announces does it present his sheer powerful and furious side. In addition does a Remix by Felix Kröcher underline the
promising nature of his productions. With this EP does LEVT already start to fight against the thinking, that the youth is only dedicated to rap and techno got a recruitment problem. Since this could be the beginning of something big.
