It’s just a love song. Written in June/July 2022 but set in a room in an old house in Exeter in 1985.

My wife was listening all day to me working on this song. When I added a banjo, her interest piqued, and she wrote lyrics for a country feel.

Hello All
We just wanted everyone who has submitted a track to know that Smirks is continuing to work on these. We are both proud and pleased to say that your response was simply amazing, with such brilliant pieces to work on and, because we want the finished product to be the best it can be, putting everything together is taking time.  Smirks also contracted Covid some weeks ago, which has laid him quite low for a time - another reason things have been held up.  But we wanted to assure you that the project is very much ongoing.  

So Smirks decided to put this together to give listeners a taster of what we want the end product to be.  He hasn't included any of your submissions because he didn't want to spoil the element of surprise for everyone involved.
There are many collabs currently being put together - even my brother Tel and myself are working on something - so it's a very complex entity, all things considered.  But rest assured, we are getting there.

This track "Cataclysm" honestly came out of nowhere.
If you listen at 2:11, that melody was actually how the whole thing originally started. After a few war drums kicked in, I ended up rebuilding the entire song while imagining myself editing a gaming montage and thinking about the kind of energy I would want during transitions and intense moments.

I highly recommend using this for gaming montages, especially shooters, survival games, or anything action-packed and fast paced, including games like League of Legends.
Pro tip: keep your game audio layered on top of the track, especially for shooters. It blends really well.
