We’re plugged in and switched on as opener ‘Seconds’ sparks into life with its abrasive snares and relentless rises. Then we're plunged into the bubbling liquid sounds of ‘Just One Slot’, before a surprisingly soothing and deep house mood takes control on the title track. A final florish from Alex comes in the form of throbbing techno cut ‘Plug In Out’. We’re most definitely IN!

Notre Dame is the new deep & melodic techno track I have lately produced. The track features warm chords, and soft french vocals while having a driving techno beat. I was influenced by the metropolis of Manchester in the middle of the night while staring out of my window, at the city that never sleeps.

Following their epic 50th release – a supersized remix bundle, repurposing label boss Nicole Moudaber and Carl Cox’s ‘See You Next Tuesday’ from the likes of Danny Tenaglia, Solardo and many more – MOOD return with a sterling technoid schooling from a modern day French master.

With over a decade of releases to his name, Parisian Popof is no stranger to the dark art of the dancefloor. Here he makes his MOOD debut with three timeless constructions; ‘Confusion’ takes the lead with a deep pneumatic driving groove, nerve-tingling acid bubbles and bass cannon blasts that sweep you off your feet. It’s backed by ‘Alone In The Dark’ a warped and wonderful weave of palpitating textures and a stripped back hook that writhes with a minimal charm that glistens in the shadows.

Finally we’re bid au revoir with a slinkier side to his sonic spirit as ‘Twilight’ takes a bumping, rolling house groove and switches up into an intense acid jam that rises and rises with unabashed abandon. Thank you Popof…. Confusion has never felt so crystal clear.

Nefarious, Vicious, and Hateful are but a few words that describe Hell Drivers aggressive take on techno. We can't get enough of this man's delightfully dark sounds. His drums are thunderous, his melody and incredible, and his tunes are unimaginable. Evil stabs are present throughout Global Warming, and the beat has been rumoured to cause tearing in the Ozone layer when played at loud volumes.
On the b-side we have Darmec, who has his own twisted take on the original.

Hell Driver - Global Warming  (Darmec Remix)

Delivering once more a concoction of only the best and brightest talent joining Pursuit’s roster for another edition of Wild Cards. 

Opening things up with a stellar debut on Pursuit is Italian producer Black Odyssey with Antares. A melodic corcorker that did wonders in Rob Hes’ liveset on Tomorrowland. Speaking of Rob, the label’s head honcho has been digging deep into his studio and bringing us Winter. An out of the box groover combined with a filthy lead bringing it all together. 

Mega-talents Loco & Jam are back on Pursuit after a killer remix, this time with an original called Departure. A melodic piano concours which eventually erupts in only peak time galore that Loco & Jam can deliver. Dennis Apec is new to the family, this talent that Rob was able to spot very early on in his career, is bringing the goods for Pursuit like no other. Bring Me Home is again a bigroom pounder combining crazy synths and a thunderous beats destroying every sound system. 

We don’t know what Carlo Ruetz was drinking when he made Lexicon Rave, but we want in on it! A crazy combination of freaky synths that haunt you everywhere, combined with a hypnotising break eventually erupting in spiralling out of control destruction. Bageera is on closing duties and bringing really raw talent to the table. Man’s Problem is a hands-in-the-air endeavour building slowly the tension while eventually ensuing in absolute mayhem. This is Wild Cards.

Nicole Moudaber kicks up a gear as we march into the year with her first single of 2019 and she's in full on inspiring mode. 'Seeing It Through' is everything we expect from the MOOD maestro, and more; rolling, heavy kickdrum thunder laced with a hypnotic groove that's bends the mind with its off beat bleeps and a universal message in the title. This has everything.

As does 'Common Dreams'; once again unifying and universal, once again infused with a warm driving groove, this one comes with a euphoric twist on the breakdown. Feel phasers set to stun; this one elevates every single soul on the dancefloor in unison.

Finally we have 'The Sun At Midnight'. A mystical, moving piece where the atmospheric pads and chords whip up strong senses of the unknown while Nicole's momentous beats do all the driving. Powerful, evocative and fully immersive, it's the perfect way to end another remarkable EP from perennially unstoppable techno tour de force. Currently swathing through the US on her three month North America tour, each of these cuts has been roadtested and primed to perfection. Now it's your time to see it through.
