Life is Easy is a disturbingly serene look at unhappiness and desolation. 

A collection of nine songs recorded entirely live in State Shirt's bedroom studio—using a technique called live looping—along with an array of obsolete electronics, guitars, and his voice. 

Each song on the album was written and recorded live in one day—often starting out as an improvisation. Gently traveling from weird ambient swells, ghostly harmonies, funereal rhythms, freakish beatboxing, and disconcerting noises, Life is Easy takes you on a mournful march to the darkest corners of hopelessness.

Happy Birthday, Lauren Conrad

First little experiment with my new Eurorack system.  The output from the Eurorack is piped into the external input of a Moog Sub37.  Output from the Moog goes into a MF-104M delay, a MF-105M MIDI MuRF, and a Strymon blueSky reverb.

Wobbling Eurorack

Audio Noir has had a strong and steady string of releases since his debut in 2013 on Bonzai Records. He has gone on to have releases on Bonzai Progressive, Green Martian, JOOF and Drizzly before the track “Piranha” landed into the Perfecto demos inbox.

The original is a dark, twisting progressive track, which has a strong old school element from the gated pads and memorizing bassline.

Philthy Chit (fast becoming the ‘go to’ guy for progressive sounds) is on hand to bring us his distinct blend of music with a strong remix that has seen early support from Above & Beyond (GT121) and Paul Oakenfold in his Full On Fluoro radio show.

This package continues the Black ethos perfectly!

Every sound is sourced from the RME, tracking Midi notes to Logic then controlling the RME as it plays the sounds, one track at a time. Audio mangling from real-time control of Eventide H3000. Post processing with delays and backwards reverb, and editing within Logic. No other synths or audio sources used.

1.Recalcitrant Malfeasance

RME makes the main sounds, especially the pulsing sequence pulses, noise percussion and distorted lead. Some drum samples in Logic help the rhythm, but most of the rhythm comes from multitrack RME. The distorted lead is RME tracked live through Metasonix Butt Probe with voltage control and active knob twiddles, plus H3000 delay. The cloudy metallic lead is played through an EoWave Resonator (an electro-acoustic metallic speaker.)

2.Netaplexy

Utilizing a trio of Mother-32 semi-modular synthesizers, hardware-techno producer Max Ravitz (aka Patricia) constructs a pure, simple, yet driving electronic cadence anchored by an organic analog pulse.  In this patch, all three Mother-32 synthesizers exist as a closed ecosystem, each running independent patterns from their respective 32 step sequencers and communicating via control voltage through each unit's corresponding 1/8" patch bay.

Fluid Machines  Moog Mother 32 Vers2

Mike Dean, one of the game's most prolific producers and its reigning master keyboardist, spent a weekend in the Moog Music Factory.

Surrounded by analog synthesizers and immersed in an environment of experimentation, Mike selected 6x Mother-32 synthesizers to create his sonic palette and a Voyager XL as his master controller.

Painting02_Conduct

Live looping doodle with two lovely Mothers going into a bunch of lovely effects pedals.  No sequencing or overdubs and parts played using M-32s built-in keyboards.  Effects used - Strymon Deco, El Capistan, DIG, Big Sky, EHX Pitch Fork and TC Ditto Looper.  Hope you like what I'm trying to do.

This is two live jams shunted together.  It features 2 x Moog Mother 32s going through Strymon DECO, DIG, Timeline and Big Sky.

I added kick and hi-hat to bounce things along.  Other than that, there are no overdubs - it's all Moog + Strymon.  Hope you like it!
