Aunque lleva 10 años produciendo y ya ha pinchado en Londres, Tokio y en el Tresor, Joton no había venido nunca a BCN a mostrar su arte. Probablemente ha sido una nefasta pérdida de tiempo pero nos podemos consolar pensando que ahora lo recibiremos en un gran momento, en plena gira de presentación de su LP “Casting Out Nines”. O sea que ahora toca recuperar el tiempo perdido y disfrutar de una sesión de Joton y su techno reconcentrado y matemático.

Tarragona está presente de nuevo en el MOOG con el colectivo Cienwatios. Wilk.O i Nau, integrantes del mismo, llevan varias temporadas intentando sembrar la semilla del techno con feeling house o del house con contundencia techno en las comarcas del sur, y por ahora lo están haciendo muy bien. Electrónica de baile ecléctica pero con sentido, que no se limita a ningún estilo ni época en concreto y que de vez en cuando merecemos disfrutar en Barcelona. Una noche de tarracotechno de vez en cuando no va nada mal.

DJ Lui no solo es un excelente DJ y el inventor de las famosas fiestas Dancetería sino también un prestigioso periodista que acaba de publicar el libro ¿BACALAO! (Contra), un documento esencial para entender en qué consistió realmente la injustamente denostada movida valenciana de los 80-90. Una escena en la que el riesgo musical y la falta de prejuicios eran la norma y que, partiendo inicialmente del post-punk de sus primeros años, se fue adentrando cada vez más en la electrónica de club, llegando a ser una de las escenas musicales más importantes e influyentes del siglo XX.
