This week I thought I would try STL Tones AMPHUB Vicarius Black 30 model, based on a Victory V30 "The Countess" MKI amplifier.

This plug in model is turning out to be one of my favorites for dialing in a great tone with single coils and it works really well with physical overdrives in front of your pre amp. In this video I'm using an MXR Custom BA OD.

In this clip I dialed in 5 different tones in 1 song: Double Track / Single Track / with Bass / without Bass / Rhythm and Lead.

The drums in this track are from SWOLA Week 61 @ 132 BPM

This week I thought I would try out a death metal guitar plugin I came across recently online. I first noticed the physical version of the Kohlekeller Studio “Grindstein” with its blend-able channels, but then I came across the plugin version with a few additional features allowing it to be the only thing you need to create an awesome tone in your DAW. The plugin version includes two gain channels that can be blended to taste via the Mix knob and further refined with respective EQs. The Grindstein plugin further includes a noise gate, additional 5 band EQ with boost and cut knobs, and a cab IR section. 

I picked 4 of my favorite tones I was able to dial in for the song in this clip. To try and present a flavor of what the plugin can do on its own - none of the 8 guitar tracks or the master have post EQ or compression, only high and low pass filters. At the end of the video are screen shots of left and right pedal settings used for each tone as they appear in the track.

For METAL MONTH 2021 - I thought I would try out a new EZX for EZDrummer "Duality 1" and the presets "Clean DI" and "Driven Finger" for EZBass Metal and a new update for STL Tones AMPHUB "Krater Dimed Plus"

I picked 6 of my favorite guitar tones I was able to dial in for the song I wrote in this clip. To try and present a flavor of what the plugins can do on their own - none of the 6 guitar tracks have post EQ or compression, only high and low pass filters and a bit of gain saturation. All guitars are double tracked with individual left and right settings; I included a screen grab representing the majority head setting tone from each blended tone displayed in the video.
