The River of Life is a winding and wild journey down the mountains of our humanity, back to the ocean, our source.
Sometimes there are rapids and waterfalls. Other times there are peaceful eddies and exquisite reunions with other rivers from different places. But the flow goes on to serve the continuation of life and nourish all who live and breathe on the land. This is who we are. This is the abundance of life, giving and giving, season after season.

Featuring the powerful and beautiful vocals of Water Eye (Rebekah Raybaba), these are prayers for healing and reconciliation in our relationships. May this third and final ambient release in the River of Life trilogy serve the flowing waters of your heart and nourish all our relations, bringing all that is hurting and distant back into balance and connection with our wholeness.

May we remember our deep love for this epic journey and that we chose to come and learn, grow, be, and become.

River Of Life (feat. Water Eye)

The intention of the album is combine a cross section of musical art and meditative practice. Music, Sound and Frequency have a direct impact on our nervous system and can also be great teachers to bring us back home to a calm and centered place in the nervous system. 

The rhythmic based tracks, can also be used as breath practices. For example, the listener, could inhale for a count of 4 and exhale for a count of 6. This type of practice can help begin to move our nervous system to a place of relaxation and calm. By slowing the breaths per minute, and extending the exhale the practitioner is also sending a signal to the nervous system to begin to relax and release. If you aren't able to find the beat by the rhythm, simply watch the "second" hand for the count. (1 beat per second) Of course you can also simply enjoy the sounds! 

Instruments on the album include Guitars, Charango, Native American and Bamboo Flutes, as well as Crystal and Himalayan Singing Bowls. Jeannine Scarpino is the guest vocalist on the opening track (a yoga teacher), who I was grateful to have met after a chance meeting and opportunity to accompany her yoga class. Take several deep breaths, until you feel your body completely relaxed. Find a comfortable position standing up or seated on the chair with your spine straight and relax your body. Please know that you are guided by the Spirit and you can ask your presence I Am and your Higher Self to assist you in this process.

Most pieces are based on traditional Indian ragas (“that which colors the mind") in the Alap style -- where melody is explored without rhythm, although some have a natural rhythm — but they are performed in a way that is easily accessed by the western ear.

How Amazing Is Your Life When Seen With True Eyes
