Apart from live in the club, there is nowhere better to immerse yourself in the sounds of Moon Harbour than on the monthly radio show. It first started in 2010 and since then has been hosted by label manager and artist Dan Drastic, who has now helmed more than 100 episodes. The one hour show is an exclusive window into the label's hottest current, and future, tracks, and often features special guest mixes from close friends and family. 


Starting with half an hour of Dan making his always on point selections, the show is then handed over to a star-studded roster of international guests who offer their own personal favourites and latest creations. The likes of Sidney Charles, Timo Maas, Sven Tasnadi, wAFF and bossman Matthias Tanzmann have all features in the past and have always served up the sort of music that Moon Harbour is best known for. 


The Leipzig label has been at the forefront of the tech house scene since inception in the year 2000 and has put out more than 100 releases including club-ready EPs, essential albums and trendsetting compilations. Over the years it has become a regular home for the likes of Ninetoes, Emanuel Satie, Sidney Charles, Dennis Cruz and Sven Tasnadi all while tapping up new school talents such as Huxley, Emery Warman and Detlef while Matthias Tanzmann, the ever in demand label boss, takes his unique sound to clubs and festivals all over the world. 


Host Dan Drastic has been with the label since the start, serving up his slick productions both solo and in collaboration with the likes of Tasnadi and Luna City Express. This puts him in prime position to deliver the most comprehensive take on the Moon Harbour sound, and that is what he does each and every month. Moon Harbour Radio, then, is a definitive outlet for the day's most essential tech house.

Dear Deer Records are excited to announce a brand new compilation series that draws together some of their many secret talents in the form of Hidden Selects Vol 1. Runov, Coppola, G Plak, Alexandros Djkevingr and more all feature on this essential first edition.

First up is Millions Lives from G Plak feat. Chris Michael, which is a moody techno cut that's deep and involving. It sinks you into the rolling drums, then epic chords and the emo vocals all add to the effect. Who Likes Hawaii from Kinree & Den Maar is a scintillating melodic cut with keys dancing up above militant drums. Great synths and withering chords bring more colour and drama to this most artful bit of techno. Runov then offers Hedonism, a rolling, hypnotic cut with dreamy pads and vocals that gets you gazing off into the distance and Coppola's Boesendorffer is a late night roller with a killer bassline bubbling away beneath icy hi hats. Lastly, Swan from Alexandros Djkevingr & Greg Ignatovich Vs Bruce Leroys is a patient, slow burning cut with creeping atmospheres and futuristic techno grooves.

'DJ Sneak delivers his ‘Movin’ Parts’ EP via Kerri Chandler’s Kaoz Theory this May, comprised of two original mixes and two dub cuts from the US House maestro.
 
 Carlos Sosa, better known to most as DJ Sneak has long been at the forefront of US house movement, breaking through via releases on Relief and Cajual in the early nineties and still releasing his twist on raw and rugged house today via the likes of Pressure Trax, Ovum and No.19 amongst others. Here though he delivers his latest EP for Kerri Chandler’s Kaoz Theory.

 The ‘Main Mix’ of title-cut ‘Movin Parts’’ leads and sees Sneak lay down crunchy drums, jazzy Rhodes licks and choppy bass across nine minutes. The ‘Dub’ follows, stripping things back to a rawer state with more focus on the rhythmic aspects of the composition. 
 ‘Judy Russell Red’ then opens the second half of the package, bringing swinging jazztinged drums into focus alongside hypnotic vocal chants and wandering sub bass notes. The ‘Dub’ take on ‘Judy Russell Red’ completes the package finally, again offering a more refined take with the bumpy drums and snaking bass at the forefront.'
