Dana Gillespie has been visiting Prashanthi Nilayam for the last 30 years. She first sang for Swami for his 70th Birthday, and has had the opportunity to sing in front of Swami for the past several years.

She was voted 'Top British Female Blues Vocalist' by the British Blues Connection and Blueprint Magazine between 1992 and 1996 and has now been elevated into their Hall Of Fame.

Dana has recorded 3 albums in Sanskrit and several albums with Sai bhajans and songs dedicated to Swami. She spreads the message of love through her songs.
Swami has guided her through many visits to Prashanti Nilayam and many interviews including a dream come true, when she was granted an interview with her mother who absolutely adored Swami.
She can be seen serving food in the Western canteen as easily as on stage performing. She travels all over the globe sharing her music and message of Love. She is currently in Russian in September of 2011 and in USA end of September and early October. The full schedule of her events and visits to Sai Centers around the world will be posted shortly.

In the last week of January, for over a decade, the Caribbean Island of Mustique has been the destination for a charity blues festival, founded and organised by Dana and Basil Charles O.B.E.

The festival started as a small event but as Mustique has grown in popularity, as a tourist destination and as a playground for the wealthy, so has the festival.

The funds collected are used to pay for education on the poorer neighboring island, St Vincent. Dana maintains that the event will continue to be a free festival, raising money through the sale of the Mustique Blues Festival Live CD produced every year.
