The following series was founded to acknowledge producers for their influence on shaping the sound in the electronic music genre while simultaneously showcasing the distinctive musical style of each artist, featuring both released and unreleased music in an all-original podcast format.

K92 aims to reintroduce a sense of mystery surrounding artists by bringing back the focus on the music itself and creating a blank slate for listeners to develop their own interpretations. As a result, the sets on this platform do not include any press photographs or biographies. Instead, each set has been personally signed by the artist to complete their signature sound.

The Sound Of: Decoder

Decoder is a Dallas based producer/DJ specializing in
the realm of sci-fi & deep techno. His music is often filled
with ambitious soundscapes, rolling sequences, and off 
kilter sound design. 

Early in March 2021, Decoder saw his first release "The 
Futurist" come to life on the Italian label "Antiterra".
Following the EP came a consistent schedule of releases, 
including releases on labels such as Bomphcast,
Srie Records, and his own imprint Codec Recordings.
The year also saw the release of his first album, "Monolithic
Activity Spectrum" on the Spanish label "Subsist". Decoder
ended the year with his second album release "Dark Shape",
which was put out on Jeff Mills' legendary imprint "Axis".

The first half of 2022 showed no signs of slowing down, as
Decoder's "Moro Safa EP" was released on Amsterdam based 
label "Float Records". It also saw the third full length
album titled "Plurality Module" released on Subsist. The 
latter half of the year saw his first 12" vinyl release 
"Singularity 2" released  on Dallas native label
"Science Cult", as well as his follow up release on 
Float Records titled "Kanavugal".

These releases have also garnered Decoder support
from many artists including the likes of Richie Hawtin,
Jeff Mills, Ben Sims, Jeroen Search, TWR72, Yanamaste,
to name a few. 

Decoder's touring schedule has also seen notable moments, 
including shows played for De School (Amsterdam), BCCO (Berlin),
Cialo (Poland), Neighbourhood (London), among others.

Next up in our Business Cards mixtapes series, we have Gautham Garg, also known as @iamdecoder, hailing from Texas. He had collaborated with us before in past releases under his Cratan alias and he didn't think twice before accepting this business proposal.

Mr. Garg presents his signature sound in the shape of deep, hypnotic grooves, where the loops are seasoned with a wide ambience and mental, spacious sounds. Apparently, this is his very first vinyl mix posted online, as he claims. We were left very impressed by his supposedly "rookie" technique. Who would've thought! By the way, don't miss out on his newly presented imprint, @tocarecs. Definitely some heaters on wax to be expected there.

Quite a while ago, Decorder's productions captived us, guided by a kind of remote-controlled analog beacon transmitting to us directional signals towards him, whole mysterious.

The Art of Decoder turns out not just astounding, but converting the intelligible, such as a coded message, into a dimensional expression form, worthy of a young prodigy. 

Beginning with a fantasy selection, overmatching the probability of adding up by chance striking tracks we love from ever. 
A phenomenal sci-fi outcome fitting his pseudonym, arrangements under encrypted sequence actions, alternating from suggestive groovy techniques to methodical deep landscapes, yielding a meaningful sound, succulent for wishful dancers.

Def.// The Result of the conjunction of the prefix «Co», which means repetition,  with the word «Incidence» which gives the notion used to mention events that happen more times in a row. // Or by entities involved with continuous ideas were united in an unforeseen period of time.

Mark Sweeney aka @https://soundcloud.com/malhombretechno is a Glasgow born techno DJ and producer who is based in Leeds, England. Having Dj under is own name for many years in Central America ignited the passion for producing the genre and creating the MAL_HOMBRE alias.

With a host of previous releases under his belt, in 2021 Mark released a total of 40 total tracks on various labels. It was this year he aslo released his first album “Andromeda outpost” on Jeff mills’ Axis records, being the first ever UK producer to release an album on the legendary techno.

With his music continually supported at big techno events by Dave Clarke, Ben Sims, Joseph Capriati, Black lotus and Jeff mills was included in Dave Clarke’s top 10 producers for 2021.

Mark continues in 2022 with various other released lined up on Edit Select (4th time) and Illegal Alien from Mexico.

▸ Already a veteran techno producer with releases dating back over a decade, Chris Allen’s history stretches back to the late ‘90s drum & bass scene in NYC, where his roots DJing and producing the dark, futuristic atmospheres that defined techstep and neurofunk foreshadowed future accomplishments. He found new inspiration in the revival of deeper techno in the late 2000s and early 2010s, transposing his existing influences and re-emerging on the renown M_REC LTD in 2014 as Allen with his own studied take on deep, sci-fi techno.

Following this with more singles on other respected labels, he landed his debut album on Jeff Mills’ foundational Axis label in 2022, cementing the connection to one of his greatest inspirations. Launching the From Another Star imprint in 2023 with his own First Contact, Allen set his coordinates to deep space with alien soundscapes whose suggestive titles and otherworldly composition strongly reinforce his science fiction themes. His mission remains outward-bound, as seen on his second transmission System Collapse and continuing onwards with new discoveries from emerging names in technofuturism parallel to his own explorations.

These works were released by two respected and prestigious labels in their field: Legend 1997, led by David Reina, and Speculations Ltd., led by Pulso. 

Ellissir's music has received substantial support within the industry, recognized for its ability to blend futuristic elements with an innovative approach. Esteban Miranda is a Colombian DJ and producer who is making his mark on the international electronic scene. During his 8-year career as a DJ and 6 years as a producer, he developed a unique and dark style that has garnered respect and recognition from some of the most influential techno artists.

Born in Roldanillo, Valle del Cauca, Colombia, Esteban was drawn to electronic music from an early age. His passion for techno led him to cultivate an intense, minimalist sound characterized by powerful rhythms and dark textures. His ability to create immersive, hypnotic atmospheres has captivated audiences worldwide.

As a producer, Esteban has released tracks and EPs on prestigious labels, receiving praise and support from renowned artists such as Richie Hawtin, Amelie Lens, Sam Paganini, Wata Igarashi, Takaaki Itoh, Claudio PRC, Dax J, James Ruskin, and Lewis Fautzi, among others. His music is often described as "dark and hard-hitting," "minimalist and textured," and "perfect for the dance floor."

Throughout his career, Esteban Miranda has shared stages with notable artists and participated in major events and festivals such as Freedom, Eon, and Zero Gravity. ▷ THE COMPOSERS 020: A4 Live at Dabadaba

Some maps chart the known world, while others dare to explore the unknown. The latest chapter unfolds a cosmic atlas, a sonic cartography where gravitational rhythms distort reality and luminous echoes guide us through uncharted domains of wise techno.

At the helm of this voyage is A4, an accurate alias of basque producer Asier Morillas, whose music is a beacon in the abstract and cosmic realms of the underground and synths. Since 2014, he has meticulously crafted a heavens of sound, releasing on venerated labels like Illegal Alien, Axis Records, Edit Select, or Warm Up. His productions—deeply influenced by sci-fi aesthetics—are not just tracks but transmissions from distant flanks, designed to haul minds beyond the immediate, into the spectral and infinite.

In this episode, we deliver a splendid live set recorded at Dabadaba, a club known for curating some of the most forward-thinking performances. A4, armed with his modular synths and analog machinery, constructs an experience that is less a setlist and more an astral phenomenon. Every sequence stands in incandescent harmony, every modulation a gravitational shift, every break a supernova collapsing into a new measurement, charting invisible passages through beats.

The story of this mix is not merely in its sound but in its philosophy. A4 once said, “I want people to close their eyes and let their minds go wherever they need to.” And that is exactly what this session invites us to do—detach from the constraints of time and space and drift through a labyrinth of frequencies where night and day cease to exist.

Asier Morillas is a DJ and producer from Irun in the Basque Country, who has made a significant impact on the techno scene since 2014. He began his career as a DJ and debuted as a producer in 2018 with the track "Black Machine," which was included in the Tonal 09 compilation. Since then, he has released music on various labels, including Illegal Alien, Faut Section, Deadcert Records, Subsist Records, and Axis Records. In 2022, he released his first album, "The Future Starts Now," under the guidance of Jeff Mills. 

In the same year, Morillas launched the Rude Solo project in collaboration with HD Substance, resulting in two releases on Inguma Records and Sub tl. In 2023, he issued his second album, "There Is No Night or Day," on Warm Up Recordings, directed by Oscar Mulero. Moving into 2024, he continues to work on new releases for prominent labels within the techno scene. 

His musical style is characterized by abstract, cosmic techno, crafted using modular synthesizers and analog machines. Morillas focuses on futuristic sound design and complex arrangements in his work.

Berlin’s Oliver Deutschmann has gained a reputation over the last 15 years through his pure passion, diverse track selection and an unambiguous mixing ability. Years before he released his first EPs he had already set himself on a path that would see him DJ all over the world, eventually leading to his adopted home of Berghain where he has lit up both rooms of the club dozens of times since first playing there almost ten years ago. Deutschmann displays a distinct unwillingness to be pigeonholed in any one style, and is right at home whether he’s warming things up with an understated house groove or thrashing the big rooms with his grandiose brand of techno.

While honing his abilities at the controls, he also began testing the waters of production and label ownership, and has since created four labels: Vidab, Falkplatz, Slim Audio and the vinyl only imprint GKNSTR. Releases on Soma, Aim, Caduceus, Etruria Beat, Mobilee, and his own imprints culminated in his 2013 debut album, ‘Out of the Dark,’ that Resident Advisor described to be “as potent as any techno album released in the last few years.” As an impassioned DJ, producer, and label owner, Deutschmann has ensured that his position in the forefront was never a fleeting one, and with numerous EP’s and a second album on the way, it looks like things will stay that way.
