Dynamic Reflection Podcast Series 015: Pyramidal Decode

Nacido y criado en Italia desde el 1998, Pyramidal Decode es el seudónimo de un productor poliédrico de Techno.
Comenzó a pinchar cuando era un joven adolescente y comenzó a producir obras de techno además de tocar otros instrumentos más clásicos.

En 2017 creó Pyramidal Decode lanzando sus temas en sellos como Subsist Records, DeadCert rec, Labrynth, Parabola Records y muchos otros.

Su música es difícil de encerrar en un género, pero se espacia entre el techno ambiental y el industrial duro, resultando como un viaje hipnótico.

Bajo el alias de Xorpel, este madrileño de 27 años siempre está buscando la innovación y los contrastes en sus sets. Influenciado desde joven por sellos como Blueprint, Theory, Prímate o Warm Up entre muchos otros Xorpel siempre ha intentado rebuscar en lo más hondo de la industria para sacar el sonido que más se asemeja a su carácter.

Sus sets se mueven desde el Techno hipnótico, repetitivo y contundente hasta el sonido más groovy o hardgroove pasando por toques de electro o EBM.
Actualmente es residente de Ethos Alternative Club y Pomafest en Madrid, donde también es promotor junto a sus socios Symbiosis, Werc, Dani Duran y Root Noise.

The Composers welcome in this new episode to Pyramidal Decode, a true promise in our scene, who has evolved creativity and method in his unstoppable formidable career, from the classic techno roots to precise and depurated timeless knowledge.

Introducing the upcoming bombs with subtle harmonic first steps, the path starts to draw itself slightly, just to go ahead in a heavy bass line surrounded by raw percussions and his distinctive distortions, creating a slashing atmosphere direct.

The strength of the intense sound evolves from the low-key rhythm to the serious groove of what sounds like a fierce gallop that shakes an uncontrollable body, providing some well-chosen breath breaks, to continue blowing up beats and minds in a wisely way, relentless industrial effect played for experienced listeners.

Fine selection in this rough race, constructed definitely for the dancefloor. An introspective elegance exhibition led by a young mastery with senior skills.

Born and raised in Italy since ‘98, Pyramidal Decode is the pseudonym of a Techno polyhedric producer.

His first track was published in 2012 under another alias. In 2017 he created Pyramidal Decode, releasing his works in labels such as Subsist records, DeadCert rec, Labrynth, Parabola records and many others.

His music has been defined relentless and precise, characterized by intense percussion and analogue sparks, it also has dub influences but it ends up as a twisted, dark and hypnotic voyage.

2020 and 2021 have been years of major evolution in Pyramidal Decode’s production, he released on Edit Select, Modularz, Dynamic Reflection, B55, Hard Tools rec, and more…

2022 has been the best year of his production yet, starting off with a 10 tracks album named ‘Cosmic Paradox’ on Jeff Mill’s Axis Recordings, published at the end of February. 

He also confirmed his presence on Dynamic Reflection by Abstract Division, releasing his second solo EP "Dysfunctional System”.
While his name was spreading in European clubs, his tracks were released on Faut Section, followed by the track ‘Ghera’, his first  vinyl on End Of Perception.

At the end of November ‘Logical Inference’ had been released in Oscar Mulero’s Warm Up, a solo EP composed by 7 tracks that closed his 10th year of production.

In the last year he performed in various European countries including Bulgaria, Holland, Germany, Spain and Italy, bringing his sound to stages like CassetteClub (Madrid), Melkweg (Amsterdam), Mensch Meier (Berlin), Lanna Club (Gijon) and more.

Mark Sweeney aka @https://soundcloud.com/malhombretechno is a Glasgow born techno DJ and producer who is based in Leeds, England. Having Dj under is own name for many years in Central America ignited the passion for producing the genre and creating the MAL_HOMBRE alias.

With a host of previous releases under his belt, in 2021 Mark released a total of 40 total tracks on various labels. It was this year he aslo released his first album “Andromeda outpost” on Jeff mills’ Axis records, being the first ever UK producer to release an album on the legendary techno.

With his music continually supported at big techno events by Dave Clarke, Ben Sims, Joseph Capriati, Black lotus and Jeff mills was included in Dave Clarke’s top 10 producers for 2021.

Mark continues in 2022 with various other released lined up on Edit Select (4th time) and Illegal Alien from Mexico.

▸ Already a veteran techno producer with releases dating back over a decade, Chris Allen’s history stretches back to the late ‘90s drum & bass scene in NYC, where his roots DJing and producing the dark, futuristic atmospheres that defined techstep and neurofunk foreshadowed future accomplishments. He found new inspiration in the revival of deeper techno in the late 2000s and early 2010s, transposing his existing influences and re-emerging on the renown M_REC LTD in 2014 as Allen with his own studied take on deep, sci-fi techno.

Following this with more singles on other respected labels, he landed his debut album on Jeff Mills’ foundational Axis label in 2022, cementing the connection to one of his greatest inspirations. Launching the From Another Star imprint in 2023 with his own First Contact, Allen set his coordinates to deep space with alien soundscapes whose suggestive titles and otherworldly composition strongly reinforce his science fiction themes. His mission remains outward-bound, as seen on his second transmission System Collapse and continuing onwards with new discoveries from emerging names in technofuturism parallel to his own explorations.

This project originated within the context of the artist's career, which previously included experience as Russ (Arg), a prior project that served as a platform for experimentation and development. 

Ellissir has grown and established its own identity within the music scene. This maturation and evolution are evident in two significant releases "Legends of Hyperrealism" and "Reflejos Distorsionados." These works were released by two respected and prestigious labels in their field: Legend 1997, led by David Reina, and Speculations Ltd., led by Pulso. 

Ellissir's music has received substantial support within the industry, recognized for its ability to blend futuristic elements with an innovative approach. We are enthralled to present Esteban Miranda on The Composers. From Colombia, Esteban has spent years perfecting a craft that defies the boundaries of the tangible world. Supported by major figures in the scene, his sonic identity thrives, designed for minds eager to explore what lies just beyond the surface.

Esteban designs the biographical 019 mix crafted with his productions, where each track stands as a piece of his development, a glimpse sculpting excitement akin to an artist chiseling stone, modern in technique, with a nod style to vibes from the past.
From the fierce ascend of 'Buitres' to the visceral force of 'Titanium', the soundscape roars like a discourse of consistency, endeavor, and passion in pursuit of sonic transcendence.

Esteban Miranda is a Colombian DJ and producer who is making his mark on the international electronic scene. During his 8-year career as a DJ and 6 years as a producer, he developed a unique and dark style that has garnered respect and recognition from some of the most influential techno artists.

Born in Roldanillo, Valle del Cauca, Colombia, Esteban was drawn to electronic music from an early age. His passion for techno led him to cultivate an intense, minimalist sound characterized by powerful rhythms and dark textures. His ability to create immersive, hypnotic atmospheres has captivated audiences worldwide.

As a producer, Esteban has released tracks and EPs on prestigious labels, receiving praise and support from renowned artists such as Richie Hawtin, Amelie Lens, Sam Paganini, Wata Igarashi, Takaaki Itoh, Claudio PRC, Dax J, James Ruskin, and Lewis Fautzi, among others. His music is often described as "dark and hard-hitting," "minimalist and textured," and "perfect for the dance floor."

Throughout his career, Esteban Miranda has shared stages with notable artists and participated in major events and festivals such as Freedom, Eon, and Zero Gravity. His dedication and passion for electronic music have established him as one of the most prominent emerging artists in both the Colombian and international techno scenes today.

Some maps chart the known world, while others dare to explore the unknown. The latest chapter unfolds a cosmic atlas, a sonic cartography where gravitational rhythms distort reality and luminous echoes guide us through uncharted domains of wise techno.

At the helm of this voyage is A4, an accurate alias of basque producer Asier Morillas, whose music is a beacon in the abstract and cosmic realms of the underground and synths. Since 2014, he has meticulously crafted a heavens of sound, releasing on venerated labels like Illegal Alien, Axis Records, Edit Select, or Warm Up. His productions—deeply influenced by sci-fi aesthetics—are not just tracks but transmissions from distant flanks, designed to haul minds beyond the immediate, into the spectral and infinite.

In this episode, we deliver a splendid live set recorded at Dabadaba, a club known for curating some of the most forward-thinking performances. A4, armed with his modular synths and analog machinery, constructs an experience that is less a setlist and more an astral phenomenon. Every sequence stands in incandescent harmony, every modulation a gravitational shift, every break a supernova collapsing into a new measurement, charting invisible passages through beats.

The story of this mix is not merely in its sound but in its philosophy. A4 once said, “I want people to close their eyes and let their minds go wherever they need to.” And that is exactly what this session invites us to do—detach from the constraints of time and space and drift through a labyrinth of frequencies where night and day cease to exist.

Asier Morillas is a DJ and producer from Irun in the Basque Country, who has made a significant impact on the techno scene since 2014. He began his career as a DJ and debuted as a producer in 2018 with the track "Black Machine," which was included in the Tonal 09 compilation. Since then, he has released music on various labels, including Illegal Alien, Faut Section, Deadcert Records, Subsist Records, and Axis Records. In 2022, he released his first album, "The Future Starts Now," under the guidance of Jeff Mills. 

In the same year, Morillas launched the Rude Solo project in collaboration with HD Substance, resulting in two releases on Inguma Records and Sub tl. In 2023, he issued his second album, "There Is No Night or Day," on Warm Up Recordings, directed by Oscar Mulero. Moving into 2024, he continues to work on new releases for prominent labels within the techno scene. 

His musical style is characterized by abstract, cosmic techno, crafted using modular synthesizers and analog machines. Morillas focuses on futuristic sound design and complex arrangements in his work.

Monolyth born in Italy, the dark and hard techno sound panorama rides.  Since its debut in 2016 on Labrynth and FLASH Recordings, counts many more on Abstract Mechanisms, Illegal Alien, Black Label, Mephyst, Konstructiv, True Type and its basic label Metaphisical Recordings. 
Monolyth has played in many Italian clubs and especially in his most successful city with artists like Ben Sims, Flug, Slam, MTD, Luis Flores, Electrorites, Florian Meindl and many others. Monolyth is an integral part of the Techno Mas promoters group. 
Being constantly experimenting with analog sequencers, synthesizers and sound design, its purpose is to convey its love for music to other people and will definitely do so without any compromise. 
His music is increasingly appreciated and played in the best festivals and platforms, such as Boiler Room, by the most representative talents of the world techno scene.

Herr Banna, whose first name is Michael; is a DJ from Jordan currently based in Abu Dhabi - UAE, where he co-runs ‘Studio 11.12’ and works as an Urban Designer/Planner.
His knowledge of techno began in 2018 after being to one of Europe’s largest music festivals and visiting Berlin’s finest techno clubs in the summer of that year. Immediately, he found himself very passionate about techno, first as a listener, and soon after as a DJ - who remains self-taught. 
Shortly after he started DJ-ing, in the summer of 2019 he founded 'Studio 11.12' as a non-profit electronic music platform hosting 'Listening Parties' - a series of curated underground raves. He also curates a weekly podcast series labeled ‘Studio 11.12 Flights’ which is released on the platform’s Soundcloud page.
