The job of A&R heads never ends. With the endless amounts of newcomers firing up their DAWs and waiting for a chance to gain the closing DJ status, you never know what studio sleeper will pop up next. Unknown Records has just plucked a promising fledgling from out of nowhere who goes by the name Horowitz and has spent the last year piecing together his debut EP. “They Know” is the lead cut from the release, and it will bode well with undergrounders that dig their techno with a thick slab of low-end. Dark and pummelling, this erratic tune holsters rapid-fire programming and sporadic stabs that have already left names like Maceo Plex, Tommy Trash and AC Slater talking about this fresh face from Sydney.
