...Die Oli Kuster Kombo spielt einen zugleich lyrischen und skurrilen Modern Jazz in ungeraden Metren. Kuster ist kein virtuoser Schönspieler, sondern ein Eigenbrötler, der sowohl die hohe Kunst des absichtsvollen Stolperns als auch die Destillation dichter, mysteriöser Klänge beherrscht. Die Besetzung von Kusters Kombo ist ein gelungener Kompromiss zwischen dem Streben nach kammermusikalischer Intimität und der Einsicht, dass die Musik einen gewissen Drive benötigt.

I create music using vibraphone, dulcimer, electronics and small instruments. My music contains elements of jazz, folk from different countries, and electronica.
