The basis of the new POLDER quintet, led by versatile bass player Guus Bakker, is the Rotterdam GAP trio, featuring Andreas Suntrop (guitar) and Pim Dros (drums) in addition to Guus. This rhythm section is completed by Nils van Haften (saxophones) and Vincent Veneman (trombone), both of whom are strong soloists and great team players.

JAZZTRIBES is an independent record label with roots in New York and Rotterdam, two cities that share a long history due to the Holland America Line. JazzTribes is an initiative of John Weijers, founder/owner of the Dutch jazz label ZenneZ Records, and is focussing on artists and bands in NYC.
