In his debut album Phil Evans is taking you on a ride over the S-Mile with 8 bouncy endorphine infused cuts brushing off that Highway to Hell sh**. Turn that frown upside down and Ssss-mile!

S-miling activates the release of neuropeptides that work toward fighting off stress. Neuropeptides are tiny molecules that allow neurons to communicate. They facilitate messaging to the whole body when we are happy, sad, angry, depressed, or excited. The feel-good neurotransmitters - dopamine, endorphins and serotonin - are all released when a s-mile flashes across your face as well. This not only relaxes your body, but it can also lower your heart rate and blood pressure. S-MILE!

From the outset of his musical journey, Sydney’s louís has been an astute and discerning digger, fostering his love for vinyl through plenty of booth experience, informing both his process and output. The BeAvantGarde resident has played a pivotal role in pushing the forward-thinking boundaries of Sydney’s underground music scene. The bills on which he has appeared - both locally and on the European circuit - are certainly testament to an artist in command of his craft. Louís’ constantly developing musical sound can be defined by an openness and intrigue, both of which are heavily noted in his musical selection.

Following a fallow 2020, Marginal Returns is proud to present the solo debut of Berlin-based, Sardinian-born Enrica Falqui (who has previous releases as half of techno project Eris and half of experimental project Yhdessa).

Plexus splits the difference between Falqui's ambient and dance floor modes. Side A opener ‘Veda’ is a hopeful downbeat dawning, A2 ‘Mond’ a Burger/Ink reminiscent slice of Pop Ambient and side closer ’What She Got Right’ songful and contemplative. Side B is darker, faster, and for the night, containing the EBM-tinged stomp of ‘Plexus’ and afters-electro glide of ‘Aquarius’.

MOON SOUND launches the first mix of its long-awaited series: mooncast.

This first episode directed by Roberto Manolio (@roberto_manolio) from Turin, Italy, passionate about vinyl since he was 14 years old, plays at parties in the province of Turin. He recently debuted as a producer on the Portuguese record label Nugs On Board accompanied by a splendid remix of Data Memory Access and some pending releases for the next few years for labels around the world.

Part of the vinyl-loving community, Chaou.B 's is fueled by a passion of digging into rarities across different genres within techno, house and electro.

Digging into various styles made him selecting over the last years an extremely versatile record collection around new and old gems.

Casablanca based, Chaou.B is also known as the founder of Rhytmics, an underground collective which is now a solid spot for the Moroccan ravers, and through which, he has invited renowned artists of the underground scene as Domenico Rosa, Evan Baggs, Franco Cinelli, Audio Werner and many more.

He has also spread his talent through his productions on labels like Lumbago records, White Scar or Tresydos.

mooncast 06 : Chaou.B

Samuel Jabba was influenced by music from an early age. Interested in its futuristic appearance and visionary sounds began to produce electronic music. 

A few years after 2017 he moved to Barcelona to study music production and there his interest in techno, electro and acid house of the 90s grew, influenced by Nicolas Lutz, Michelle, Do Or Die, Corp, Onur Ozer and Craig Richards to name a few. 

Samuel’s productions have been played by DJ Masda, Binh, Craig Rishards, Z@p, Collin Chidle among others. In Barcelona he performed in different venues such as Red 58, Upload and others.

In 2019 he co-founded his own independent label called “From The Void Above”. As a digger, he enjoys researching music history, uncovering timeless music left behind from the early 90s to the early 2000s.

YU, comes out with mooncast008 with his own style that characterizes him, here the set with his own tracks, large percentage of unreleased.

Yuri Ruggieri, known as Yu, is a DJ and electronic techno music producer born in Pescara in 1989. After experimenting with various styles, he joined the French label Binary, where he began to define his sound. His song "Contest", released in 2022, stands out for its powerful kicks and hypnotic sounds. In 2023, he debuted on vinyl with Loft Record and worked with London label Art of Dark, exploring immersive sonorities.

In October 2023, he will release a new EP with Barcelona's Gamine, promising a journey from darkness to light. Yu mixes techno with disco, progressive, EBM and house, reflecting his extensive musical influence and his training at the Milan Recreation School. In addition, he has several notable works, such as "Yu-Tempestivity EP" CMDRPX , "Yu - Beautiful Moment" Discarde Gems and "Yu-Uragan - Wanted" Les Disque de la Jungle, as well as collaborations with "Various - PT005" Planet Tapes.
