Glimpse 1486 (Oct 27 2025)

My 3rd experience of playing of an improvisation on the new: VSL Studio Concert D 1887. I’ve decided to play in a very ambient piano sound with a long reverb. And I’ve used an external reverb - LX480 from Relab. I really enjoyed the result. It sounds not too clear and still a bit “imperfect”. And I think this kind of a sound is a bit close to a Harold Budd’s piano in his iconic collaborative work with Brian Eno. And I really enjoy this a bit old school sound even in the long and deep reverb. Well, I think Concert D 1887 is my very favorite piano on this moment because I can play a cinematic, classical and ambient piano, and I like all three. This piano is really versatile for me.
