Mortatoriel is the "official" name of Underswap + Aftergore. It's not something we'll be pursuing much though. This was made as the one year "birthday present" to SPEICIDE, which came out one year ago today. While this doesn't religiously subscribe to any take, we did this with Tonyswap in mind, with a few extra references in there (mainly REANIMATION) just for good measure.

If you're curious about name: SPEICIDE meant "killing hope," and CONTRAMORPHEUS means "against dreams," so that we could swap hopes with dreams. Latin is fun.

While we're not exactly "Megalo people," we can't deny the tremendous impact SPEICIDE has had on Aftergore and our account. Our account has over triple the followers it had at this time last year, and SPEICIDE is what put Aftergore on the map for a lot of people. We thank you to everyone who has supported us, and there's plenty to come in the future! Hey all! How's everyone doing?

December's here, and 2020 is coming to an end. With winter break coming soon, I'll have plenty of time to pump out some new songs!

With that out of the way, here's the first song in my winter spree, a cover of Eddie's HYPERMANIAC!

Well, I didn't just do this on my own, of course, someone had to help on the motifs and the thumbnail.

Special thanks to Sandi for his much needed help: @swapfelled! Go show him some love, his music is phenomenal for a Beepbox user!

The Swapfell take I'm basing this off of is owned by Kkhoppang.
Based off of @sayvenofficial and @user-962360998's covers, with the latter being EXTREMELY underrated (this man did his cover on FL Studio Mobile for Christ's sake).
This song also has some motifs from @user-32273643's PROSECUTION! I assume that it's for an Underfell take of some sort, or just an Underfell styled AU in terms of edginess.

Extra Info:
- Originally, I wanted to use a normal square wave for the square section. This was scrapped in favor of a charang!
- This is my first time experimenting with Perfect Drums, so I think they could be better, but for the most part, I like 'em.
- There was actually a previous version of this that I started and got as far as the 2nd lead, but was scrapped in favor of this one! (I think you would have liked this one more either way).
- The brass and shreddage section's chord progression was actually inspired by Phlex's Light Me Up! (it used to be my jam in 2016)
