I originally thought this recording was lost but a couple of weeks ago it landed back with me. There was a definite magic in the air for this set, staged at a particularly lush festival site full of the best of the best, peak festival, the Sunday evening.

This set is dedicated to my brother and dear mentor Daniel Webber who left us a few days before the festival, his spirit lives in this one x

MOONTIDE - Dragon Dreaming 2022 -  DJ Set

A collection of recordings from live shows in early 2022 performed at Shipwrecked Festival (NZ), Wild Campout (WA) & The Brunswick Picture House (NSW).

The line up for these shows:

Louis Tobin - Keyboards, Vocals, Sequencing, Korg Minilogue.

Miles De Cartaret - Guitar
Nicholas Payne - Percussion

This show moved between structured moments and improvised jams that allowed each show to be different and fluid in its performance informing the magic to unfold each evening.

This set moves between all original live moments and music I love and back. I feel so lucky to have had the chance to play this festival and am ever grateful to those who entrusted me with a 3.5-hour journey into the sunrise.

It was my first Boom and I had heard many things about this festival, and feel so lucky to have experienced its magic. People have a lot of opinions on large festivals,there's always going to be smaller, more unique places to be,but I was blown away by Boom. I spent much of the 3 days I was there roaming alone, marveling at the spectacle of such a place. I'm mostly introverted, and these places often aren't my first choice to hang out, but I had a ball at Boom.

Thanks to everyone who danced into the morning, it was so special, I hope this recording can be a memoir of your first evening at Boom <3

MOONTIDE Live At Rancho Relaxo

When I started MOONTIDE I intended to to tell stories through everything i did under the name from tracks, to ep’s, to dj sets. At Rainbow i decided to delve into the last year of my life and find tracks that i resonated with at different times through out the year to tell the story of 2016. Some sections are dark, some are full of love, its probably the most raw thing i’ve done to date so in turn was kind of hard to post! But after so many beautiful messages from everyone i thought I would share it  :)

The set is split into 3 sections that symbolise Heartache, Rebirth and the present.

Im super grateful to have been able to present this music at such an amazing event, thanks also to Ryan for doing a spoken word piece during the set as well xx

MOONTIDE  - Rainbow Serpent Festival 2017 - Chill Floor

Here is my set from Rainbow Serpent Festival 2018. So so so grateful to be able to share my music again at this magical event. I've never felt more comfortable, relaxed and open as I did when presenting my music on this morning. To have so many people dancing at 4:30am on the chill out floor was totally overwhelming and a moment i will never forget. Also a massive THANK YOU to all the tribe who came down to support and see me play. It was such a nice surprise and i am grateful to have all your beautiful energy there. 🙂 🙂  

A special mention to Maddy Lou for recording the spoken word piece at the start of the set. We recorded this in the forest on the land at the beginning of the festival ❤ ❤ I hope you all get as much enjoyment out of this set as I did producing and playing it. I shall see you all in the near future 🙂

I decided to play with some lighter moods and build a more colourful story over the hour. Here's Oceania's second encounter with the series, made by producer Moontide, who in this mix included a few of the new tracks he's written and a couple he did for a film score. 

As a clear intention for the mix, he chose the theme of global healing. It's a storyline narrated from the view point of mother Earth looking back on her planet engulfed in flames, there are spoken word pieces by 4 different women (Jeanne Lee, Severin Cullis, Greta Thunberg & Ayme Doran) throughout to narrate the storyline. He recorded it in his studio whilst almost the whole state he lives in is on fire, triggering a lot of protests to do with climate change. So this is an artistic contribution to support the message.

The Birds

Our Youth was recorded in April of 2020, written and arranged over 3 weeks in Melbourne, Australia. The concept of the album delves deep into the broken structures of todays society. The opening track Beloved, a love dedication and closing track  The Laughing Heart, shine the light of hope, bookending the album. Pillar tracks  “Youth” and “This World” head the theme of protest through out the album, brought to life with lyrics “We are alone, We are sold, Never break apart” on Youth. 

The Album is made with the intention to be of service in the wild and underpredicatble times we live in. May it open your heart, hold you when life feels grim and catapult you into the new paradigm.
