This EP showcases the passion and creativity of  two musicians blurring the lines between acoustic and electronic music. 
It features guitar, harmonica, mandolin and glitchy beats and basslines. 
From the summertime acoustic vibes of Sunshine and East Van Blues to the up-beat, funk flavours of Hydra and Swamp Bubble, 
this 4-track EP explores the diversity of what Moontricks are all about.

It’s with great pleasure that we finally release the debut episode of our new Podcast series! We’ve been dreaming about launching our own Podcast series for quite some time now, so it’s exciting to finally have this new project off the ground! The Detour series will be our chance to share some of our favorite music with all of you – stuff that we don’t get to play in our normal DJ sets or mixtapes – but stuff that is really moving us nonetheless, and more often than not, the stuff that’s on constant repeat on our ipods! So….here it is. With no rules, no genre constraints, just good music to move your mind, body, and soul – Welcome to The Detour!

For the time being, we’ve decided to make our Podcast episodes freely downloadable via Soundcloud. Soon we will be moving everything over to iTunes so that you can directly subscribe to all future episodes, but in the meantime it’s freely available via our website or Soundcloud. Combining their love of folk, blues, and electronic music, Nathan Gurley and Sean Rodman are blazing their own trail, merging musical worlds previously unacquainted and capturing audiences along the way.

Since connecting in their rural hometown through a shared love of music, the pair’s chemistry was instantly apparent. With Gurley at the production helm and Rodman on songwriting and vocals, they’ve birthed an authentically raw and seductive sound infusing grassroots blues, wistful soul, and gritty, boot­stomping bass.
