He represents the @DarkerThanWax crew and visited the Red Bull Studios Amsterdam for our monthly @Werkspace series. They laid down the foundation for some fresh new music and finished the track "Higher" at Beatsofreen's studio a week after the session.

VI is a mysterious new project based around the symbol visualized in the artwork. The artist behind this project is already established in the scene, but wanted to take a step back and focus on his production and writing skills. Together with Grammy award winner @Nikki-Cislyn and stunning newcomer @PoppyAjudha, VI created an EP where the sound and collective vibe are the focus.

Since we loved the first two singles of the "VI" EP (forthcoming on LadenLife) it was a no brainer when we got the opportunity to premiere the third and final track titled "Odds Of Life". This song really grows on you due to it's massive soulful Reggae groove and features miss Nikki Cislyn on vocals.

The "VI" EP drops later this month and for the time being VI is giving away a limited free download!

One of Amsterdam's hottest producers goes by the name of Jarreau Vandal. This 24-year-old producer came down to the Red Bull Studios Amsterdam for our 10th edition of Werk Space.
With some help from drummer extraordinair Richard Spaven, the Dutch Soulection representative created the track "Rooftops". This demo is available for free download and might get some additional vocals added in the near future.

Make sure to look out for Jarreau's upcoming "Suburb Superhero" EP and hit the REPOST button or leave a nice comment if you enjoy the music.

The artwork was done by a graphic designer from Rotterdam named Lucky Dubz. He started tattooing recently and told us he wanted to tattoo artwork on pig skin for this edition. It’s not often you see cover art tattooed and then photographed now do you? Big shout out, we think it turned out very dope.

LA based singer/songwriter Miki Rose & Brighton based producer El. Train come together to deliver their five track EP 'Over & Over.' They first collaborated on the track 'Control' back in January for El. Train's 'Somewhere Between' EP. Whilst Miki was in the UK in May the two decided to get in the studio to record some music and they managed to flesh out 4 or 5 demos in a day. A couple of months sending files back and forth over the Internet and they finally managed to settle on five tracks that would form the basis of the EP.
