Q: Thanks for your contribution to our mix series, how did you prepare for this mix, and how would you describe the result?

A: Thanks a lot for your kind invitation, I am super happy to be part of your great series! I basically collected all the music I’ve been recently digging and that enjoy playing right now. The result is an hour of music I would play in the early hours of the afternoon when the sun is out and people enjoy their first drinks.
 
Q: Is there a record in the mix that you associate with a special story?

A: Definitely! The second track of the mix called “Baixada News” is taken from 
the eponymous album of the Brazilian Band “Skank”. I found this record in Brooklyn last month at the great record store “Superior Elevation”. My friend and probably favorite digger Andre Acosta recommended me to pay them a visit, and after spending a couple of hours in their crates, I got intrigued by the very colorful cover of that record, and it ended up being such a great find! When I start moving my head and can’t stop myself dancing in the store, then I know it’s for me! 

Q: How do you dig for new music, and/or what kind of things arouse your interest in a record/music? 

A: I mainly dig music from the internet, peacefully at home. Discogs for the majority, sometimes I listen to radio shows from NTS, The Lot Radio, Kiosk Radio, Soundcloud and Boiler Room, mostly for staying alert about the actual music scene. The only thing I am seeking while searching for new music is the emotion I get while listening to it. It has to talk straight to my heart! 

Q: One record that doesn’t want to leave your turntable lately?

A: Hell yeah! That 12” Maxi of Michael Wycoff, called “Real Diamond” gets me everytime! There is a piano riff at the beginning of it (that I had to skip in the mix), that makes it perfect to start a warm up slot in a club. The tempo is also perfect (around 110BPM) and the groove is out of this world! One of my favorite recent dig for sure!

Q: Music bonds people. Any djs/shops/etc.. you would like to shout out? 

A: Big shout out to the main partners and supporters of my music journey Adrien Pastor (and his record store Paname City Records), Kip Analog (almost my manager on the Copenhagen Scene, and top collector), and my lovely girlfriend Cecilie. Also all my customers from Instagram, where I sell a part of my record collection. This thing became such a great platform to connect with music lovers from different scenes and create great opportunities.
