In this take, Chara and Frisk take the role of both W.D. Gaster and the Vessel respectively.

- Chara chose Frisk (who replaces the Vessel) as a subject to set off on a brand-new journey throughout the isles for reason that is not known yet. Unfortunately, this course of action was immediately halted by the strange man himself. Chara reached out to some people from the Shadow Realm through spiritual contact and voice. Afterwards, these people began to go insane and all they yearned for was a peaceful SILENCE.

- Frisk is one of the human characters stranded in one portion of Dawnside Isles. They seem to have been living there for at least a month. To survive, they have built a hut and campfire for the night. Sometimes they visit the beach to check if someone or something is sailing nearby, hopefully they can return home.

The intro scenario is inspired by MOTHER 3's, namely showing parts of the islands and eventually end in Frisk's hut. They will be shown sleeping at first, and then you will enter your name before they wake up. Instead of creating your own character, AETHERCREST's introduction begins with a legitimate tutorial with some quests added before a certain man interferes and messes it all up.
