Whether you want to call it “destiny” or “fate” or “a calling”, the real fact is that some people are born to sing and create music. Chances are you’ll get a vibration on the idea that music is and always has become the artist’s most natural expressions.‘Geoffrey Star’ Forrest born Geoffrey McLean, is the son of Bertram “Ranchie” Mclean, legendary bass player, keyboardist, lead guitarist, song writer andalso an original memberof “The Revolutionaries” and “Skin, Flesh and Bones”, alongside the renowned drummer Sly Dunbar .His father also worked with artist such as Jimmy Cliff, Dennis Brown, Burning Spear, Black Uhuru,and the late greatAugustusPablo to name a few. 
Music has been the central theme in the life of “Geoffrey Star” for as long as he can remember and now, some fifteen-odd years later, this multi-talented singer, songwriter, arranger, music engineer and producer is fulfilling his childhood dreams and ambitions.
Counting Bob Marley, Burning Spear, Dennis Brown, Beres Hammond and Michael Jackson among his primary influences, along with a slew of R&amp;B artists like Al Green, Marvin Gaye, The O’Jays, John Legend and Ne-Yo.Geoffrey has combined his creativity and inspirations into a stunning new sound all his own. You can hear it on tracks like“IM SORRY” and “PICTURE ME AND YOU” on Don Corleon’s (DROP LEAF &amp; SEASON’S Rhythm), which has brought him extensive popularity in the music industry.
Whilst working as a sound engineer his hereditary talents for writing and playing musical instruments has led him to become a prolific sound engineer, recordingsome of Jamaica’s most popular reggae artist such as Dennis Brown, John Holt, Bunny Wailer, Leroy Smart and Bunny Ruggs to name a few. 
A formal introduction to singer, songwriter, musician and producer Michael “Mikey Spice” Johnson, gave him the opportunity to record songs like: “I DON’T KNOW” and “I’VE GOT HEAVEN” on the Ingredience label. These songs showcased his melodious sound and attest to his writing ability. His versatility is exemplified with his combination with Shabba Ranks, “CONSIGNMENT” remix and Jahmel in “MASTERBUILDER”. He has provided extensive vocal support both in studio and on stage for popular reggae artist such as Marcia Griffiths, Coco Tea, Burning Spear, Bunny Wailer, Glen Washington, Mikey Spice, Chai and Bunny Ruggs of Third World amongst others.
He was chosen as a finalist in both the Jamaica Cultural Development Commission’s annual Festival song competition (JCDC) in 1998, and the Caribbean Music Expo (CME) 2002. After the (CME) he then toured Europe with The Mighty Diamonds, Wayne Wonder, Fred Locks and Lady Saw, it was while on tour he met Brinzley Forde who became impressed with Geoffrey’s vocal talent.As a result he worked with the British Reggae Group “Aswad” and together they collaborated on the single entitled “ARE YOU THINKING WHAT I’M THINKING”. 
Geoffrey Star is now focusing on completing his debut album “UNSCRIPTED” to be released in 2011, with a brand new single “I DONT UNDERSTAND” produced by Grammy Nominated Producer/Engineer Barry O’Hare (World A Muzik).
