A pre-release track from the 2016 album "The Umbrella Man", a collaboration between Hetty Kate and outstanding swing band 'The Dan Mclean Hot Six' from Canberra, Australia. This album has been crafted with the lindy-hop community in mind, but even if you have two left feet we hope you'll enjoy it!

The Dan Mclean Hot Six (www.danmcleanhotsix.com) are an energetic and creative band, lead by lead trumpet player Dan Mclean. They're the hottest band out of Australia's capital city and always infuse their music with spontaneity and fun! Their live shows are something to behold!

Hetty Kate first met Dan when she was performing with famed US pianist and band leader Gordon Webster - and has continued a musical relationship with him.. visiting Canberra as often as she can. Hetty and Dan have performed together for Jumptown Swing's "Jumptown Jam" and "Canberräng" both huge weekends on the Australian Lindy-Hop calendar.. as well as Savoy Dance's "Slowdown", Canberra's newest dance weekend specialising in slow Lindy and Blues.

A musical love affair between two singular artists, "Hotel Amour" is the long-awaited collaboration between beloved Pink Martini founder and bandleader Thomas Lauderdale, and international singing sensation, the crowd-surfung tragi-comedienne and queen of Chanson, Meow Meow. These two friends have performed and composed together across the globe for years, from the backstreet bars of Berlin to the glamorous stage of the Sydney Opera House, from London's legendary Royal Albert Hall to Mary's Club, Portland Oregon's legendary strip club. "Hotel  Amour" features several original songs destined to be classics, alongside exquisite journeys into the French, German and Shanghainese canon of the 20th century, with alluring tastes of the 1920s and 30s, bittersweet  tragedy, humor, politics, witty wicked Weimar, and aching French torch song. And the album is enhanced by a bevy of guest stars, including joyful duets with Rufus Wainwright, Barry Humphries (of Dame Edna fame), and The von Trapps, as well as a very special live recording with the legendary pianist and composer Michel Legrand.

Mangoes: Musical Shorts Volume 1 is a sonically eclectic collection of brief, acoustic, folk-based, mostly instrumental pieces that showcase Moyer's abilities as a composer and multi-instrumentalist bridging Eastern and Western musical traditions. It was recorded in a 100-yr-old Chinese attic in the village of Zhujiajiao in the suburbs of Shanghai during Moyer's residency at the Shanghai-Zhujiajiao Water Village World Music Festival. Moods range from meditative gong music and erhu smooth jazz to groovy hand drumming, bossa nova and raw folk fiddling. Track 10, ZJJ 4 Seasons - a traditional folk song - features local singer Yang Guanghua.
