They are aliens, enchanting chichera, surfing through electropsychosis with a punk attitude and wailing to get us lost in storms of galactic sirens.

EL sonido de Ghetto Kumbé , es una mezcla de House Caribeño, con beats futuristas. Ritmos que van y vienen como una especie de ritual, liricas que se sumergen en el inconsciente de la mente para poner a retumbar el cuerpo al ritmo de la percusión.


The sound of Ghetto Kumbé, is a mixture of Caribbean House and futuristic beats. Rhythms that come and go like a ritual, lyrics that are immersed in the unconscious mind to make the body move and bang to the rhythm of percussion.
'Chila Kilé' is the first single they release, where they managed to create a mysterious ritual, leading echoes of African and  Caribbean,  sounds and from anywhere in the world that has a mystical aura.
Ghetto Kumbé is a powerful trio strongly influenced by African and Caribbean music, Formed by Juan Carlos Puello aka. "Chongo" responsible for making the world vibrate with his hands hitting the cheerful “alegre” drum and djembe, a meeting between the drum beat of Afro-Colombian and the root sound of several West African countries. Andrés Keyta is who is beating the Dun Dun drums, djembé relatives. The third member is Edgardo Garcés better known as "El Guajiro" creator and director of this project, who is responsible for producing the electronic part, the beats and synths that are soaked with the aesthetics of African house currently produced in South Africa, Angola and Portugal.


A partir de uma mistura experimental, a Zebrabeat Afro-Amazônia Orquestra ressignifica a música tradicional paraense como o carimbó e a guitarrada, que recebe fortes influências da música caribenha, ao hibridizá-la ao Afrobeat, ritmo africano criado por Fela Kuti na Nigéria na década de 70. O resultado da mistura é uma musicalidade instrumental percussiva de fácil apreciação em qualquer lugar do mundo, mas que não perde suas raízes de música regional, tanto amazônica, quanto africana.

Em meio a tantos instrumentos e melodias misturadas, às vezes em unicidade, às vezes de forma mais caótica, a única certeza ao ouvir o Zebrabeat é a vontade de bater o pezinho, sacudir o pescoço e mexer o corpo.

Em outubro de 2013 a banda lança seu primeiro disco intitulado “Zebrabeat”. O disco contém 8 faixas, uma das faixas conta com a participação do Mestre Laurentino em "Vale de São Fernando". "Pescador de Fragmentos" também fica por conta da voz e presença do grande baixista Mg Calibre. As composições, arranjos e produção do disco ficam por conta do baterista Júnior Gurgel.

Ainda em 2013 a banda foi convidada para participar do Festival Se Rasgum e Terruá Pará, projeto que divulga a música e a cultura paraense através de shows que aconteceram em Belém e São Paulo. Já no ano de 2014 a Zebrabeat inicia uma turnê entre Rio e São Paulo. Com circulação por casas de shows, pubs e eventos públicos a turnê ajudou a banda a criar público não só no Pará mas em outras regiões do Brasil e até mesmo no exterior, onde as músicas são tocadas nas rádios.
Recentemente a banda a foi destaque em um show realizado no Circo Voador na cidade do Rio de Janeiro.

Residindo em São Paulo a banda continua circulando e fazendo shows.
