All of these tracks were composed, played and recorded in one take, straight to stereo. The only post-processing carried out on these tracks was the addition of a bit of compression and trimming of the starts and ends of the tracks.

The title comes from a spoken line at a TEDx rehearsal; can't remember the context or even who said it, but I took a note of it at the time as a potential title. So, thanks, random TEDx speaker, whoever you are, this one's for you.

Androids' hearts are motorised pumps, unlike a human heart they run at a constant rate; as a result, androids have no pulse, no sound of rushing blood in their heads. The only murmur in an android's heart happens when it's dreaming it's dark, dark dreams.

Alicia is from the Waikato lowlands surrounding Hamilton, New Zealand

Jeff has released solo material under the name ‘Listening Mirror’ on various labels, in different parts of the world including Hibernate (UK), Cooper Cult (NZ), Twiceremoved (AUS) and Dronarivm (RUS), as well as a few self released albums.

Alicia records solo material under the name ‘birds of passage’ and has released 3 albums on the Denovali label in Germany. She has also worked with The Dale Cooper Quartet and Aiden Baker.

Snoqualmie Falls was formed two years ago when Jeff and Alicia discovered each other’s music by chance, and contacted each other to see if a collaboration was possible.

The music is a combination of Jeff’s treated guitar drones and field recordings and Alicia’s spectral and beautiful. whispered vocals.
