▻ You are originally from Munich, and now you live in Berlin, what brought you there?

I moved to Berlin for my masters but I loved the city since I was a child. Together with my passion for techno it just made sense to move there.

▻ Where did you have your last gig and how was it?

My last gig was Anomalie Art Club in Berlin for a privat event. It was fun but I‘m looking forward to play a clubnight someday. 

▻ You produce your own music in the meantime, how do you always start there and with what equipment do you have for it at the start?

I start with the kick and bassline, add a synth and fill the tracks with drums. I use an analog four a tr8s and ableton live to make my music. 

▻ What's on your musical agenda for 2023?

Finishing my first EP.

▻ I heard you go out a lot, what are your favorite clubs?

Berghain, RSO and ELSE.

SHE/HER is on the rise! The Artdictive resident has been popping up a lot lately throughout the country at renowned places like Radion, Basis, and others, with Perron coming up. Originally starting off playing trancy and hard, her sound has evolved to a healthy blend of rolling groove and rhythm.

Seeing what she is evolving to music-wise made us eager to have her be part of our ongoing mix series with an exciting 60-minute recording.

Benji is a dj and co-founder of the label Pengan Records and is based in cologne, germany. His love for music started at a young age, and he has been refining his skills ever since.

As one of the creative heads of Pengan, Benji is always pushing boundaries and exploring new fields for bringing different art forms together. His dj sets are known for their hypnotic, deep, and rhythmical qualities that defy genre classification.

fluctt is guest #63 in this edition of the morphcast.

Raised in a family with an artistic but not musical background, and having no musical background himself but always interested in its beat, Fluctt was carried away by hip-hop and rap in his early years. Some three years ago his pursuit for something new and experimental led him into the fascinating world of techno and underground music.

For Fluctt music is a means to translate energy to the others. As his alias suggests, he breaks the rules and foundations of electronic music with unremitting energy, creating his own powerful sonic trademark. With his music, he expresses emotion: each track having a different color, different mood and feeling. His art promotes the concept of what it is to be engaged in thinking ahead by making people move on the dancefloor and by sharing with them your experience with music.

He has appeared at festivals such as dk.tsk and performed in a number of clubs like Poligraf, Fermata, etc. Fluctt keeps things truly unpredictable. He constantly works on pushing his own sound, always searching like a scientist (which he is) for new inspirations and aesthetics to make his DJ sets and productions so unique. He is not just an entertainer, he tries to find a way to express himself and in this sense he is an artist.

Criado em uma família com contexto artístico, mas não musical, e tendo nenhum contexto musical ele mesmo, mas sempre interessado nas batidas, Fluctt foi conduzido pelo rap e hip-hop nos seus primeiros anos. Três anos atrás, sua busca por pelo novo e pelo experimental o levou para o facinante mundo do techno e da música undergroud. 

Para Fluctt, sua música signifca um meio de transmitir energia para os outros. Como sugere seu pseudônimo, ele quebra as regras e fundações da música eletrônica com energia incessante, criando sua própria e poderosa marca sonora. Com a sua música, ele expressa emoções: cada faixa tendo uma cor, modo e sentimento diferente. Sua arte promove o conceito do que é ser engajado a pensar a frente, fazendo as pessoas se mexerem na pista e compartilhando com elas sua experiência musical.

Ele preparou festivais como dk.tsk e performou um uma série de clubes como Poligraf, Fermata, etc. Fluctt mantém as coisas verdadeiramente imprevisíveis. Ele constantemente trabalha em forçar o seu próprio som, sempre buscando como um cientista (que ele é) por novas inspirações e estéticas para fazer seus DJ sets e suas produções únicas. Ele não é apenas um apresentador, ele tenta encontrar uma maneira de se expressar e nesse sentido ele é um artista.

Apart from an individual career, he is a drummer of a fusion band MokuMoku  and an experimental electro-acoustic project called Metastasis.
