'Thought Waves' is a first-time collaboration between Galway producer Darran Nugent and Baltimore vocalist/songwriter Phill Celeste aka Life On Planets. The result is a track that beautifully encapsulates the multiplex of emotions of the lockdown consciousness voiced through the unbounded, soul-liberating medium of house music. Phil's lyrics and vocals boldly announce 'Penny for my thoughts, but them thoughts ain't free...tricky. All this thinkin'...taking energy'. His answer is a resoundingly positive one: 'breathe slow' and 'get it out of the way'. 

Darran Nugent has been producing for over 20 years, most notably under his alias Aruba, with some sought after classic vinyls like 'How Low Can you Go' (Exun/Cocoon) or 'In Stereo' (Squareroom) as well as remixing house music legends like Fish Go Deep, Fresh & Low and Freestyle Man. Darran's sound has always challenged the boundaries between deeper and techier styles of House music, while still creating a recognisable, signature style of his own. He also runs his label called Elevation Recordings.

Life On Planets is the solo project of singer/guitarist Phill Celeste. Melding soul, R&B, and house in his original productions, the artist’s eclectic sound took him from the streets of Baltimore to cities the world over. 

William Keohane aka Sacred H3art (Yoruba Records) was an immediate choice to remix 'Thought Waves' with Darran being a huge fan of his unique deep and infectious production style and delivers a stunning remix in his unmistakable style. Watch out for an upcoming releases as READ 'Where’s My Phone' on Defected and a full length album on Ocha Records.

JammHot are a Leeds and London-based production and DJ partnership consisting of Matt Mason, Jamie Adams and Akara Etteh. Having each separately pursued their own musical ventures, the three friends decided to draw on their differing backgrounds and influences to create their own heady blend of house that’s rich in musicality and sense of adventure, yet aimed squarely towards the dancefloor. Perhaps inevitably given their expansive musical heritage, JammHot are always looking to the future while lacing their productions with a deep-seated affection for golden eras of the past. 

JammHot built their profile with original productions and remixes on such DJ staples as Leftroom, Lost My Dog and Dirt Crew, as well releasing their debut artist EP on Huxley’s Saints & Sonnets imprint. Wow, Elvis found us! And we’re happy! Do not expect Rock ‘n’ Roll, but for sure some great tunes from Elvis (which is btw. his real first name!). After many UK based producers, it’s time again for some homeboys. Elvis is a young DJ and producer from Zurich/Switzerland and his “Humney” EP is his first full release to date. 
“Humney” is that catchy House tune with a touch of the 90`s house sound, with a great bassline, sexy vocals (from the lovely Choklate) and solid beats. The up and coming Palace (Hot Haus Records) adds a rougher vibe with his remix, but it’s still “Humney”. "The Way" is taking a deeper direction and shows that Elvis Cassetta is definitely a name to watch out for!

Having been rivals on the football pitch as teenagers, a chance encounter many years later - djing at an International windsurfing festival - cumulated in a back to back set that ‘kicked off’ the Italia90 collaboration.
Putting the footballing differences aside, Italia90 grew out of a shared love of quality house music that was influenced greatly by Glasgow’s close relationship with Chicago and institutions such as the Sub Club that brought these house heroes close to home.
Inspired by seeing the likes of Kerri Chandler and Mike Dunn play in the city regularly, we ran our own night, Tuff Crowd, in Glasgow’s infamous basement club the Berkley Suite for two years before launching a new chapter with Tuff Crowd moving to South East London in 2015.
The Smiling Faces EP follows on from Italia90’s debut release, “Streetlady” on the Morris/Audio compilation “Approaching 100”. Whereas Streetlady was a summery, vocal, filtered house track, the Smiling Faces EP goes darker with a clear focus on the Club with dramatic melodies, clever vocals and punchy percussion all topped off with a killer remix by Berlin’s finest, Iron Curtis.

Yes, One Hundred! Wow! Morris Audio’s 100th release is a milestone for one of the most productive labels from Switzerland. Morris Audio started 18 years ago, the sublabel Morris Audio Citysport 15 years ago. With a total of more than 150 releases, the labels have been making their marks by presenting different types of electronic music, from techno to minimal to deep house with everything in between. Combining established producers and youngsters, Morris Audio has an impressive artist roaster. Remember the likes of Dub Taylor, Jackmate, Hakan Lidbo, Burnski, Till von Sein, Kris Wadsworth, Iron Curtis, Oli Furness, Dash Dude, Tom Ellis&Leif or Brame just to name a few? It has been “club and home entertainment” for years and we celebrate this 100th release with two parts of well crafted tech/house tunes. Part 1 is the more techy one and features Morris fella Iron Curtis, new signing Anna Wall & Corbi, and swiss boys Replika and Elvis Cassetta. Collectors item!

Dale Howard is a new signing at Morris Audio and has shown his talent already on labels like OFF or Fear of Flying. The Bounce Back EP is a fine example of both old school and new school, with raw subby bass lines, kicking drums combined with  smooth hypnotic chords and a well balanced deepness. Dale loves the classic sounds of 90's US house and garage and you can hear this on this EP. The remix from our friend Washerman (Gianni Siravo from Azuni fame) is again top quality as all his current work. Let’s bounce!

It’s up to Brame (Tiarnan Mc Morrow to his parents) this time and yes, his debut release “soul city ep” is a hot piece of house music! “Can’t say much more” is Brame in full effect with some cachty deep house with the splendid vocals of Yemi, “Soul city” is a stripped down club tool and “Set you free” is deeeeeep and magic. We really love this first Brame 12” here!
