Israel’s hottest export follow up excellent EPs on Hivern and I’m A Cliché with a 3-tracker for the global psychedelic cult of Multi Culti.

Tel Aviv’s Red Axes are one of the most exciting new acts in dance music, with rich sound that is musical, deep, trippy and organic, while remaining precise and lethally effective in the club. The range in their sound is impressive, their talent unmistakeable. They are one of our favourite artists of the year, and this latest record is one of their best yet.

Lead track 'Waiting for a Surprise’ builds around a mid-tempo disco bassline, with tough percussion, and rugged synth stabs, but it’s the eerie and unique sounding vocals of Brazilian collaborator Abrao that bring everything together. This one is a guaranteed bomb for building up, tearing down, peak time or chilling out… an outstanding track in every sense, the kind that force trainspotters to the DJ booth to discover what’s playing. Next up, ‘Hope’ kicks off with resonant, delayed toms, adding a haunting howl and synths before dropping into a wild, clanging, carnivalesque frenzy. It’s understated, but advanced, with an interesting arrangement that really opens up in the second half. Finally, 'The Metal Bender’ slows the tempo but ups the vibe into an elated, slow-burning space-disco anthem. Fantastic stuff!

Melbourne’s Kris Baha, fresh from launching his Power Station imprint, offers a stripped down remix of ‘Waiting for a Surprise,’ with a heavy, industrial-influenced groove that wanders into the deep, dark end of party strasse.

The Italian-born, Germany based artist is highly regarded for his distinctive style and musical depth. microCastle’s masterstroke has been to engage Love over Entropy to repattern ‘Ortygia’. Motivated by the ideology of early Detroit pioneers and experimental IDM, his musical creations are renowned for being hypnotic and atmospheric, with a tender touch, juxtaposing an obsessive attention to detail with space, chaos and chance. As a result the Dutch artist has found a home on taste-maker labels such as Something Happening Somewhere, Lossless and Atomnation. Here he builds a deeply brooding, melodic, percussive masterpiece, and the resultant tension is palpable as his re-imagining of ‘Ortygia’ sparks with eruptive bursts of fizzing energy. A stunning remix on every level, and it is no wonder that he is beloved by such heavyweights as Dixon, Mano Le Tough, Âme and Laurent Garnier.

Following the rapturous reception of his first club-centric EP for Turbo, as well as remixes for Santigold and the forthcoming AlunaGeorge single, UK superproducer Duke Dumont returns to tighten his stranglehold on the worldwide nightgeist with FOR CLUB PLAY ONLY VOL. 2, this time training his sights on the Vocal Anthem heavyweight title.

A-side "No Money Blues" brings UK bass and deep house into the realm of crossover pop, while "The Giver" is an ecstatic vocal house anthem that would fit seamlessly alongside the most uplifting MURK classics. These are probably the two most "feel-good" tracks we will put out all year, but the impeccable level of quality actually lets you "feel good" about "feeling good."
