With twelve years under his belt, Genesiz is no stranger to the urban music scene in Australia.  Having cemented his place within the industry, Genesiz looks to go from strength to strength as he enters a new season musically. As one of Australia’s most recognisable faces in positive hip hop, he has helped launch many other artists within the scene all while building his own reputable catalogue. 

In 2007, Genesiz founded The Commission after the deaths of two close friends challenged him to use his music as a positive voice within an often dark industry. His debut album, "Redemption", was released early 2009 and quickly rose up the charts. With a distinctly different sound to anything else within the gospel arena in Australia at the time, it blazed a trail in which The Commission could grow and build momentum. Spearheaded by the single "Ride or Die" (a collaboration with Grammy Award Nominees The Gospel Gangstaz), it charted at number ten on the national hip hop charts for three consecutive months. It was also certified as the eleventh best selling album on iTunes Australia in the genre of Christian rap to date.

"Redemption" solidified Genesiz position as a highly sought after artist and speaker, and he soon found himself involved in over 100 events on average annually around the country. Spending time touring with organisations like Youth Alive as well as touring independently, he found himself working and performing with the likes of Tha Dogg Pound, The Outlawz, Mary Mary, Stan Walker, The Gospel Gangstaz, Sevin, Lecrae, Tedashii, KJ-52, Everyday Process, Trip Lee and many more.

In mid 2012, he released his second solo project, "I Am Legacy", which was met with much acclaim. The album quickly became one of the best selling gospel hip hop albums in Australian history and picked up where Redemption left off. The title track, "I Am Legacy", has been on heavy radio and TV rotation internationally and has been highlighted on several major programs, including The Greenthumb Hour with B-Real from Cypress Hill. The single was also picked up by DJ Salam Wreck after he heard it performed live when Genesiz opened for Tha Dogg Pound. Salam has since used the single in DJ sets opening for major acts Eminem, Snoop Dogg, The Game and Tha Dogg Pound among others. 

​After a brief hiatus, Genesiz is back and seemingly on a quest to once again make some noise. With plans to release a new album titled "Therapeutic Violence" in 2019, Genesiz has already released three singles. The first single, "Thank God", features legendary producer and artist Daz Dillinger from Tha Dogg Pound and is a west coast anthem of thanks to God for His blessings in life. It debuted at number 15 on the iTunes Australia Christian rap charts and peaked in the top spot at number 1.

The second single, "Take Me Home", features the late Tupac Shakur's crew The Outlawz and debuted at number 8 on the iTunes Australia Inspirational charts, peaking at number 5. It also peaked at number 1 in the genre of Christian rap on iTunes Australia, and cracked into the Gospel top 1oo on the US iTunes charts, peaking at 99. 

The third single, "Dirty Scoundralz", features Army Regime from New York and has an undeniably hard hitting and gritty sound that truly is dirty in the best sense of the word. It debuted at number 37 on the iTunes inspirational charts and remained a top 50 song during it's first week in the charts. It also catapulted to number 1 on the iTunes Australia Christian rap charts as well.
