Honeyroot is an ambient dance collaboration between Glenn Gregory and Keith Lowndes, signed to the independent record label Just Music.

The project had its origins in the 1997 album, Skyscraping, by ABC. As ABC was essentially Martin Fry, after the departure of founding member Mark White, Lowndes and fellow Sheffield native Gregory of Heaven 17, were brought in for co-songwriting duties on the album.

Lowndes and Gregory's first album, Sound Echo Location, was released in the UK and Australia in 2003 and in the US in 2004.[1]

Honeyroot reached the UK Singles Chart in May 2005 with their ambient cover version of the Joy Division song, "Love Will Tear Us Apart", which also appeared in the Scottish film, Red Road. 2006 saw an online only release entitled "EP1".

The Sun Will Come (2007) featured two singles, the double A-sided, "Nobody Loves You (The Way I Do)" b/w "Heavy Drops" and "Where I Belong". Though known primarily as the front man for Heaven 17, Glenn Gregory sings on just two tracks on The Sun Will Come; leaving remaining vocal duties to a variety of female singers including Briony Greenhill ("Nobody Loves You"), Kim Richey, Kerry Shaw, Elsie Wooley and Lindsay Crisp.

Goldener Reiter ist ein Lied der Neuen Deutschen Welle von Joachim Witt. Es wurde 1980 auf seinem ersten Soloalbum Silberblick veröffentlicht und erschien im Mai 1981 als Single.

In dem Lied schlüpft Witt in die Rolle eines Menschen, der offenbar wegen schwerer Schizophrenie in eine psychiatrische Klinik eingewiesen worden ist. Im Mai 2014 erklärte Witt in einem Radiointerview, die Inspiration zum Lied sei aus dem 1979 erschienenen Film Der elektrische Reiter erwachsen, in dem die Hauptfigur eine gelb leuchtende Uniform trägt.[1]

In Völlig losgelöst – 40 Jahre Neue Deutsche Welle aus dem Jahr 2016 von Sat.1 sagte Witt, dass das Lied eine Kapitalismuskritik beschreibt („Protestsong gegen den ausufernden Kapitalismus mit all seinen Scheinheiligkeiten und so ist der Text gedacht und entstanden.“). Er habe das Lied noch mit englischem Text als Bandmitglied von Duesenberg geschrieben, den Song aber zurückgehalten und ihn schließlich auf Deutsch auf seinem Soloalbum Silberblick veröffentlicht

b. May 31, 1954 in Harlem, New York.
d. April 27, 2000 in Wilton, Connecticut.

She was the daughter of African-American Shakespearean actor, Bill Robinson, and the Caucasian folk singer, Jolly Robinson. She was part black, white and native American.

Unfortunately Vicki died in her home in Wilton, Connecticut on April 27, 2000 due to a struggle against cancer. She was only 45 years old when she passed.
