“Stand With Us to Bless the Waters” is our prayer of solidarity for the Lakota Sioux Nation, & all the Water Protectors who have converged in North Dakota Standing Rock Reservation at the Dakota Access Pipeline. This is the first time in centuries that all the indigenous nations of Turtle Island (America) have come together in unity & guardianship for our Earth. This unprecedented tribal convergence has been catalyzed by the pipeline, but is representative of something much larger & more profound than a protest. 

In support for the situation in North Dakota, Amani Friend (Liquid Bloom) and Summit Jaffe (Numatik) were both separately inspired to create music for water and prayer.  Coincidentally, the two tracks were both finished at the same time on fall equinox and they were also written in the same key, making it ideal to interweave them into a one unified piece of music. While sitting in the New Mexico Hot Springs after Unify festival, Amani and Summit had the inspiration to curate this remix album. Producers from all over the world, like Earth Cry, Mystral, Soulacybin, Martin’s Garden, Ecometric, Gumi, and Twin Shape added their unique psychedelic downtempo flavors. Native elders like Black Fox Pomani, and Yona FrenchHawk imbued the music with intentional water prayers. United together, we humbly offer this medicinal musical journey in support and healing. Water is Life!

On November 3rd Desert Trax presents Ayahuasca Remixed from Brazilian-born artist Poranguí Carvalho McGrew, translated and remixed through the lenses of visionary producers like Shamans Dream,AtYyA, Drumspyder, Kaminanda,Liquid Bloom, Numatik, Yaima, and many others. These 11 tracks were born from a prayer to bridge worlds from the consciousness of the master plant medicine onto the dance floor. It came to life through the meeting and friendship with musician and producer Sahuna Love (Shaman's Dream), and blossomed with the help of Amani Friend (Desert Dwellers & Desert Trax). Each song weaves the medicine of the original, while beckoning listeners to explore and express their prayers or meditations through embodied movement. Lindsey Wise - Ah Ni Kuni (Intiche Remix)

Following last month's inaugural installment from Desert Trax, the world and electronic music label releases yet another star-studded line-up of producers re-imagining the rich compositions of World Soul artist, Poranguí. 

This latest installment opens with famed English producer, El Búho, whose Latin American folk and cumbia-inspired take on “Danza del Viento” absolutely lifts the Spirit. Both Momentology and DJ Taz Rashid have been on a hot streak, pairing up for a number of releases on Desert Dwellers' label, but this time the pair aim for a Latin-focused, earthy remix of “Canto de la Selva.” Coming off a massive Desert Trax release earlier this summer in Apu, duo Jakare (Italian producers Halfred and Lo.Renzo) bring their South American slow house sound to Poranguí's “Otorongo”. 

Newcomers to the label Ryan Herr, Walkerji, and Baptiste Sejourne are joined by returning favorites Moon Frog, Ancestral Elephants, and Erothyme. Once again one of the label's most prolific artists, Poranguí, has woven together a powerful constellation of talent to interpret these potent medicine songs.

Aspiring artists, passionate musicians, and experienced music producers met with the mutual intention to learn about music production, co-create music and reconnect with their essence by surrounding themselves with beautiful nature and listening deep within through meditation, breathwork, and sacred rituals. You can experience the result of this deeply transformative, inspirational, and healing journey AND directly support your Mother Earth with this compilation. Since we have received countless blessings from the sacred lands of Portugal we are grateful for the opportunity to give something back. All the income from the compilation will be donated to fund an organization that is planting trees.
