Released on Summer Solstice 2021 and born from three world-renowned artists from three continents, “Jai Shiva Shankar” is the incredible new single by Franko Heke, Monica Dogra, and Mose. Call it what you will — serendipity, magic, destiny — something special brought these three vanguard artists together to create this 6-minute dance mantra combination. When it comes to the fusion of these genres, this is a first for New Zealand native Franko Heke, who remarks, “Jai Shiva Shankar is a mantra that came to me on my travels through India and it represents Shiva the creator, protector and transformer of the universe. Shiva and Shakti represent the masculine and feminine that resides in us all.” It is in Bali where Franko met Monica Dogra, the Indian-American powerhouse vocalist who has released five albums with Mumbaikar electronic duo Shaa’ir and Func. 

Gorgeous harmonies between Heke and Dogra breathe spiritual energy into this mantra-driven composition. Underneath and interwoven through the vocals we hear haunting Indian flute, Egyptian drums, tabla, and oud. Guatemala-based ecstatic dance DJ and producer Mose transforms the grounded rhythm section into a series of tasty grooves that are indulgently danceable and beckon for movement. This well-balanced piece repeats the title mantra “Jai Shiva Shankar” alongside instrumental and vocal bridges that are ethereal and rich with emotional energy, revealing that Franko Heke, Monica Dogra, and Mose are the healing trifecta we didn’t know we needed this summer solstice.

These provocative rhythms are designed to tap into our own ancestral depths and call us into the secret worlds of trance. Each of these musical landscapes is alive with its own distinctive spirit energy. As they carry us forward they become the vehicle for our journeys.

Divine Mother: She is a womb centred woman, who has surrendered open to the Divine flows of Divine Mother, father God Goddess.

 The Lover: Her erotic intelligence has lined up with Divinity. Her inner Aphrodite is in her temple and she is not leaking he sexual power. 

The Wild Women: Kali is the aspect of our shakti our erotic energy that is the fire of transformation. She is the current of liberation that can travel through our bodies and chakras purifying and clearing all the stuckness all the numbness if we have the courage to feel.

The Priestess: She has passed the initiation of the priestess, her devotional heart has cracked open and she has found the deep stillness and presence of the priestess and embodies her inner feminine and inner masculine as one ecstatic alchemical flow of creation. 

The Wise Women: The wise woman leads as her voice of authority and she leads through her kind heart. She is a womb centred woman and her voice echoes her instinctual wisdom and deep heart knowing.

Shakti Queen: She is a queen for she is not afraid to be seen in her vulnerability or her power. She shines her radiant light upon all beings she touches. The Queen is an ecstatic devotee of Divine and her life is lived through the heart in service and in surrender to Love.

These 11 tracks were born from a prayer to bridge worlds from the consciousness of the master plant medicine onto the dance floor. Lake Atitlán, Guatemala is the devotional cauldron from which both The Hanuman Project and Mose have cultivated their own unique sound. It was here in 2015, on the shores of Lake Atitlán that Patita Pavana Das, founding member of the project, and Mose met and the brotherhood was sealed. Years later this convergence has manifest the release of a ground-breaking collaborative Kirtan infused dance track. Also featuring the sweet and powerful vocals of longtime Hanuman Project member and vocalist, Matia Kalli, Radhe 54 is sure to get bodies moving and hearts opening.
