At one point last year, I thought I was done with my #alonetogether live streams (if you missed some, check my Youtube channel). Not that I don't enjoy those streams, I do very much, but playing in front of real people just can't be beaten. Anyways, since this pandemic is somehow never-ending, I decided to dust off my streaming equipment and lock myself in again, just before X-Mas, for five and a half hours in my Stream Rave Cave, to play some music. Today's show contains the fifth and last part of the complete set, as usual in a better audio quality than in the video stream. Of course, the video is still in its full glory on my Youtube Channel as well. If you are on Mixcloud Select, you can even download this set and a lot more music on your phone. I hope you enjoy this one, I really did playing it. It is actually fun to do those streams on my own, essentially taking care of the lights, visuals, internet connection, stream, camera angles, hot teas (it was cold in there) - oh yeah.. and the music of course…

Listen here to the fifth hour of my 10h set that I played for my birthday in 2014 at the legendary Output Club in Brooklyn. 

How I miss DJing in clubs, in front of all of you and how I miss Output Club and those special all night long nights that I usually did in December around my birthday. This set, which you will get hour by hour on a weekly basis now here on AMFM was one of the longer ones. Output had a very strict no picture policy, so there is no footage from inside the club, I only found one blurry picture from my birthday cake. I started at 11 pm as far as I remember and according to my recording I ended at 9 in the morning. Output was such a special place with an amazing sound system and DJ booth, it was always such a pleasure playing there. You always take things for granted as long as you have them. Output Club had to close down end of 2018. I was very sad then and somehow I am even more now, as these days seem so long ago and I have no idea when I get to do something similar again in NYC. I miss it. I miss the city and its people. I have always had a great relationship with NYC since I started to play there in the late 90’s for the legendary Monday nights at Sullivan Bar, organised by @christiansmith. Time goes by so fast, if we don’t learn to appreciate the moment more, it will all just become a faint memory. Stay healthy everyone and I really hope I will get to see you all on some dancefloor again. Mo’s Ferry Prod. officially exists since mid 2001. But that's not the real beginning of it all. This was more like in the early 90s when todays label owners Niklas Worgt and Jan Langhammer ran into each other in school. Anyway, the release date of the first and real "mfp" vinyl is a perfect joint starting point.
The music of Mo's Ferry Prod. can be perfectly described by the words of a well-respected colleague: "This music offers a way out of the one-way street regarding the groan of minimal techno. Mo's Ferry releases are uncomfortable, dodgy, angular, groany and self-containt - to this day. No going back to the big ingredient range of the last 15 years of techno and house, no electro thingumbob, and of course no whatsoever clash" (Mathias Schaffhaeuser / Beam). Well, here's nothing much to add, apart from... By now, the label has its standing and the release policy still follows the more inconvienient way. It's not acceptable constantly exhausting the standards and hypes. What about distinction and variety? For other musical playgrounds the Mo's Ferry sublabels fenou and RRYGULAR were created in 2005. And that's it... that's the way how to search and find their standing in the world of the electronic music biz.
