Hailing from Nottingham U.K. and having been producing for years under other names ( Kinky Movement and Onsei) the Alias Moshun was "born" to cater for the funkier sets played and created. 
Inspired from an early age to be involved in music, firstly trained to play violin and piano at an early age, later moving on to djing at the age of 13 and got into music composition and arrangement at 16, studied music technology at Confetti school of sound engineering and also music business at NCN college Nottingham. 
The next step was to go into production and after successful releases under the names Kinky Movement and Onsei the concept of Moshun was born. 
Moshun caters for all styles of music with releases in House, Jackin , Deep, Soulful Nu Disco, Garage and Downtempo.

Always on the cutting edge and never being restrained to any sound or sub-genre, Joel’s sets journey through  diverse and broad-ranging stages of House Music. From deep and techy, to funky and jazzy. From disco and jackin', to dark and banging. With years of experience and behind the decks and a keen understanding of dancefloor dynamics, Joel has proven time and again that he has the ability to “work it out” with the greatest of ease.

Like most 80s kids who growing up on New Wave, Post Punk, and Industrial music. Discovering and falling in love with House and Techno in the mid 90’s was absolutely inevitable.  

By 1998 Joel’s desire to share the music he loved with the people who love it could no longer be denied.  Joel was able to piece together a modest bedroom set up and learned the cornerstones of proper mixing. Beat matching, programming, blending and track selection. Joel began honing his skills behind the decks and decided that distributing prerecorded mixes would no longer be sufficient. So he began taking bookings at various local venues in his Inland Empire hometown, sharing the sound he held so closely to his heart with like-minded locals

Over a decade later, Joel’s passion, love and need to share this music has not subsided. 

In addition to DJ’ing Joel has successfully organized, hosted, and promoted various House Music events and efforts throughout his sleepy little Inland Empire town. Having held the longest running House music weekly in Riverside Ca. his monthly event “THE BODY ELECTRIC” holds a loyal and consistent following. Boasting large scale talent with names like Dj Dan, Collete, Donald Glaude, Steve Loria, Wally Callerio, Jake Childs, Thee-O, Joplin, Eddie B. and tons of other amazing local DJ's and rotating residents every month! It’s not hard to see why The Body Electric has been a staple in the Inland Empire underground house music community for over 10 years strong!
