"To launch our record label, we at Bouquet. wanted to lead with a V/A compiling compelling and unusual tracks from both new and established artists that we respected. We wanted to be true to our namesake, and offer different shapes and shades and colors of music that went together pleasingly and cohesively. We turned to our friend Caffeine Worldwide" :
"Last year, the party series Bouquet asked me to curate a compilation for them as a means of launching their new record label. The idea was: eight tracks, eight artists, and a pay-what-you-want release that would send a portion of proceeds to charity. Sounded easy enough.
I dropped a line to every working producer I knew personally or was merely aware of; I scoured Soundcloud for new artists; I damn-near harassed some of my closest friends for interesting work. Eight months and a thousand Facebook messages later, and it’s finally ready for you to rinse.
Rather than the random collection of b-sides and sketches that characterizes most digi comps, Bouquet. and I were very keen on making this a cohesive collection from front to back. I think we ended up with exactly that—and a collection that reflects the eclectic, fun party lineups that Bouquet. usually books.
Proceeds from the comp will benefit The San Diego Foundation, a 501c3 that administers grants to over 1700 nonprofits in the San Diego region. For those anxious to grab this release before it's available on the 27th, $1 presale downloads are available right now on the Bouquet. Bandcamp page."

Deep euphoric vibes start the track off before it descends into a strapping, heads down shuffler. 808 cowbells ping away as the track resurfaces for another rush of endorphins and its back to business on the dancefloor. SB PREMIERE: Athlete Whippet - Blue Lagoon (Danvers Remix) [Squareglass]

AEON has been in musical rude health of late, with Speaking Minds, Amarcord, Lauer, Fort Romeau, Moscoman, Kincaid, Joris Beismans and label boss Alex Niggemann all bringing the heat. Now, continuing the high level of quality, up steps Israeli man of the moment Jenia Tarsol with two classy Italo influenced cuts on his 'Strom EP’.
The title track, ‘Strom' is a playful workout, featuring hypnotic low-end organs over a simple but irresistible groove which draws you in before a high-end organ motif adds a real element of light heartedness to the track with a melody that’s sure to get stuck in your head and bring a smile to all but the most chin stroking clientele.
‘Nosisi’ is a more serious affair but still retains Tarsol’s trademark drum programming and a dance floor friendly vibe. Hooky disco influenced Guitars are the order of the day here, used to subtle but devastating effect before whispered vocals add an etherial edge to the soundscape. Remix duties are fulfilled on this EP by Panthera Krause and Uriah Klapter. Krause leans yet more on disco flavours with his take on Nosisi, with a Moroder-like baseline locking the listener in early before a powerfully atmospheric breakdown delivers the ‘spine tingle’ moment. Klapter takes Strom down a more menacing path with industrial percussion elements dominating, before a driving baseline picks up the pace and the low- end organ makes its self known. 5am vibes a plenty on this moody groover.
All in all another stunning package from the in-form German label.
AEON take over Oosterbar in Amsterdam on October 19 for an ADE Special with Alex Niggemann, Fort Romeau, Jenia Tarsol, Speaking Minds and Kincaid.

Berlin-based Peer Du has crafted a dreamy, luxurious sound in recent years, which is no wonder why the Haŵs crew have summoned him to unite with their ever-budding family tree. The Welsh label and party series have been quietly watering their roots throughout the previous months, and with its latest re-potting for its fourth EP comes a provocative collection of tracks that slink outwards from the ether like a polychrome, sonic mosaic.

‘Criticize’ takes inspiration from a favourite of Peers’ mother’s - the Alexander O’Neals original – and uses it as the foundation for a simple but sophisticated 2-chord progression that adorns itself with shuffled beats to create a slightly giddy and crooning summer burner.

Manchester's Josh Hussaney delivers 'Nostalgia' on Foreign Language Records, featuring remixes from K-Klass and Doubleu affiliate Dylan Forbes. 
Josh Hussaney developed a love for electronic music at a very young age through the influence of his older brother and by the time he was 13 years he was spinning records on his own set of turntables. After reaching out to one of his inspirations, Paul Roberts from the legendary K-Klass, Hussaney went on to release his debut ‘Burnin’ EP on Mjuzieek Underground Digital. After picking up support from the likes of Roger Sanchez, Marco Corola, Riva Star and Horse Meat Disco, Josh Hussaney now delivers his first release on Foreign Language Records with remixes from the legendary remixers K-Klass and Irish producer Dylan Forbes.

‘Nostalgia’ kicks things off with breaks-tinged percussion, infectious keys and uplifting vocals sweeping above before undulant pads layered with bumpy drums and euphoric leads take centre stage in K-Klass’ remix. Dylan Forbes rounds off proceedings with an effervescent remix balancing vibrant grooves, delicate chords and fluid bass stabs to create an inspiring atmosphere that shines throughout.

With “WAVES”, young Manchester-based producer HUGO releases his first full-length EP on theBasementDiscos. 

WAVES consists out of three original tracks by HUGO and a remix by Frenchman LOG, who has already contributed a track to theBasement’s last Various Artists EP, HORCHATA. 

HUGO is a very flexible producer whose previous releases range between funky disco and breakbeat-influenced leftfield house. With WAVES, he now presents an ecstatic EP of heavy dancefloor-hitters. 
The tone on the EP is set by funky electric guitars, anthemic string sections, soulful vocals and other classic sampled disco-tools. Altogether with the super groovy drums and percussion, HUGO presents an EP which combines elements of both old-school and modern dance music.

Named after the soviet movie The Orion Loop, a 1980 Soviet science fiction film directed by Vasily Levin, the latest release by Shubostar on her own label, the promising Uju Records, delivers a true zero-gravity experience. Both the original and the remix – the latter provided by K-Effect – establish the intended retro-futuristic aura of the EP.

In the movie, “Orion Loop” is the name of a phenomenon that occurs at the boundary of the Solar System and is described as a powerful radiation that emanates and drives the astronauts insane. We can honestly say the remix provokes very similar consequences. We got crazy when we listened to it for the first time!

K-Effect, a strong collaborator of our platform, who is also responsible for the mastering of both tunes of The Orion Loop, provided a mind-boggling and dazzling interpretation. His “magic touch” is perceived when his already characteristic throbbing bassline makes its appearance after an obscure and gloomy introduction. Ethereal and psychedelic pads, trippy and hazy arpeggio lines plus distorted and blurry synthesizer layers furnish the space tone of the track. We cannot fail to mention the jazzy drum fills (another striking feature of some of K-Effect’s most recent productions) and sci-fi influenced FXs as charming elements of his version.

Liudas Lazauskas aka Roe Deers is a Lithuanian-based producer. Liudas started listening to electronic music when he was 10 years old. Being 11 years old, he got a turntable and a mixer. He started collecting vinyl records and practising his mixing technique at his parents’ nightclub. Eventually, he started playing at club venues in Lithuania, and a few years after, across Europe. Then he began his music story and let the music do the talking.

He has enthralled the nights of endless audiences in many clubs in Europe by delivering well blended electronic music. Having spent more than 15 years behind the turntables performing at clubs and producing electronic music, Liudas became significantly well equipped with rich musical knowledge across many genres of music. The biggest and most significant breakthrough in his music career and creation work happened 4 years ago when Liudas launched his brand-new project. On the Independence Day of Lithuania, he picked an oddly folkloric name and that was the start of the Roe Deers project.

While most of electronic music follows a clear and often monotonic pattern, you never know what you will get from Roe Deers. He tends to be a ‘trendsetter’ rather than a ‘trend follower.’ The way how he would describe his sound would be “from old-school style up to disco and from soulful to deep new wave – a combination of disco, rock & house”. It really does vary. He is passionate about musical charm and incredibly innovative sound. He builds a connection between music and the crowd by playing music in a creative sense. The connection between the two is sentimental. Roe tends to step out of what is commonly acknowledged as a standard formula of success, but it doesn’t make him distant from his audience.

Roe Deers employ all shades of love in his shows so that the only response you can give him is dance. He has collaborations with Curses, Bad Habits, Wolfstream, and so far, releases on Omnidisc, Nein, Sulk Magic, Rotten City, Suara, Ombra International, La Belle, Kump, Roam, Calypso and Duro. He has been highly acknowledged by Danny Daze, Red Axes, Curses, Job Jobse, Andrew Weatherall, just to name a few. Currently, Roe Deers is a resident artist at Opium Club in Vilnius, Lithuania.

The EP in question is 'Acia' and features three new tracks from such a stylish and talented person as Timothy Clerkin is, and as ever they are eloquently named and shrouded in mystical magic. 
New York resident, TOB's partner Max Pask, who counts big guns among his fans, takes Clerkin's "Levitate" original and turns it to the powerfull disco weapon, just right what he can know to do best.

PREMIERE #617 | Timothy Clerkin - Levitate (Max Pask Remix) [Throne Of Blood] 2019

Kicking off the labels, the second release of Short Attention Digital offers 5 rough techno cuts ranging from banging Detroit techno to moody acid excursions, a powerful vibe throughout the whole VA is a true homage to underground Techno music.

First of all Mane bring us a track where drums are lo-fi and loose, the baseline is a meandering thing that really sucks you in and soft, gentle toms tumble around the groove and encourage you to cut loose.
After some releases as "Unknown Artist" Pedro Salgado marks his first release since November 2017. "Step 1" wraps gentle acid lines and futuristic techno riffs around a crunchy 808 rhythm track ready to wrap the dance floor.
"Rolling 19" by Hector Ram goes with a deep bass and cosmic and spaced synths, is perfectly blurry and analogue in design, while the drums has a deep and late night cut with jacking percussion forcing a groove.
Riki "Narwhals" impresses with inventive textures and mixture of the synthetic with the organic in fresh new ways, gradually forming into a starlit stepper of the highest calibre.
Alpha + steps up a gear with "Floating Technique", as the analogue percussive rhythms go into overdrive, the track sublimely blends esoteric melodies and a bunchy bass line with energetic electronic rhythms throughout the track An impressive 5-tracker compiled of groovy yet pounding Techno mastery.
