We are very excited to present a slamming mix from London-based producer, DJ and musician, Footshooter. 

Following hot releases on Dance Regular, YAM Recordings and as one half of SAUL on Rhythm Section, Footshooter recently collaborated with Melbourne-based keys player, poet, singer, songwriter and producer Allysha Joy, on “Hibiscus”, a highlight of the incredible ‘Outlines’ compilation on ANMA and Cognitiva Records. Footshooter tells us:

"For this mix I wanted to share some fresh sounds exploring the spaces between broken beat, house, garage and UK Rap/Grime, blended with some older favourites. It's a very UK-heavy selection, however there's a few treats from across Europe that also feature. The theme here is broken and swung rhythms - it felt good to be mixing dance music again, as for a while during lockdown I'd been mainly focussing on my radio show, which is more centred around calmer sounds. Enjoy!”

Amalgama Music is back with an e.p. from Nottingham Broken Beat producer, Cyclonix.  We return to our Broken Beat roots with this release that showcases all the different flavors the genre is known for and has morphed into. Staying true to his love for all things Bruk, Jazz, Techno and bass, Cyclonix delivers 5 tracks that showcase his versatility in syncopated rhythms, as well as straight up 4 to the floor business. The highlight of the release is “Churches”, which is the soundtrack to a Sunny day with its melody driven by warm Rhodes chords and shifty beat. Miami producer, SomeJerk , steps somewhat out of his Footwork/Jungle element and delivers a remix of “Churches” that is as beautiful as the original and very much true to the sound that he is known for. 

“So Crazy” was especially made for the rebrand of Amalgama and is a Techno Broken Beat number that is fueled by its driving Toms, metallic synth, and bleeps, that reminds the listener to crank up the volume. In “Thrax” Cyclonix delivers a slow techno burner that gradually churns into a hypnotic dancefloor groover. In all the EP is a true testament to the diversity of Cyclonix and Amalgama.

After last weeks Jazz adventure, Ive got iner, hailing from Skt. Petersburg delivering the natural successor in form of an incredible mix of Jazz, Hip Hop, Funk and House. Perfect for an afternoon ride on the bike, or for sitting in a chair sippin' on sunshine. It might even amp you up for tonights party shenanigans. 

Iner is an established name in the underground house scene with a plethora of incredible releases coming from his hand, as well as his own label Dobro Music which has seen only a few, but yet incredible V/A releases, full of local talent from the Russian underground scene. Well worth checking out. 

Hopefully I'll get a chance to get this guy to Copenhagen for a night behind the decks once we get the green light for proper appreciation of our music. 

Until then, here's 55 minutes of quality from the man Himself.
