Established during the UK’s lockdown, E.L.I. has been a means of escaping the monotony of a bleak situation. This new project of Mike Smith aka Crossover Network, who released some electro bombs on Soil Records, Land of Dance or Label In Disarray (with L/F/D/M), has been created for compositions only made with TR-707, TT-303, MS20, DX21 and a discordant voice. The result is a six-tracks EP between EBM, acid and dark electro : six crepuscular bangers for the body and the mind !

For his exclusive contribution to the new Curses compiled 'Next Wave Acid Punx' album Venezuelan-born, Barcelona based DJ/producer Cardopusher turns in a heavy synth bass workout that's pummelling rhythm, orchestral stabs and heavily gated snares pitch it somewhere between Italo, EBM and early 90s Eurobeat Techno to deadly effect.

Luis Garbàn aka Cardopusher pumps out a classy EBM track powered by layered 707 drums on Escape From Reality. Impeccably engineered, the track demonstrates the Venezuelan born producers studio prowess and diverse discography.

‘Next Wave Acid Punx’ is a 38 track journey across nearly 40 years of dark club music compiled and curated by Berlin-based Musician and DJ, Luca Venezia aka Curses. Inviting friends with a like-minded affection for an 80s rooted sound, and diving deep into his record collection, Curses has put together a three CD/double vinyl set that takes us from music by Colourbox and Suicide to EBM pioneers, Front 242 through to recent club hits from Zombies in Miami, and 12 brand new, totally exclusive tracks from the likes of Shubostar, Chinaski, and Curses himself.

Exploring the darker side of club music, ‘Next Wave Acid Punx’ traces decades of a musical passion and joins the dots between the EBM, New Beat, Italo and Acid House tracks of the 1980s to present music of today.

The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere the new music video for "Hypnotic Eyes" by Italo Moderni label boss Adrian Marth. Wrong Era and Italo Moderni joined forces and present the five tracker EP "Red Nights", which includes two hot remixes from Fabrizio Mammarella and Geneva Jacuzzi. 

Adrian creates an unique and fresh take on Italo Disco sounds with his new EP, transporting the listener back to 1983 with his spacey synths & obscure essence. Expect nothing but harsh basslines and filthy drums from the Barcelona based producer. His love for the classic sounds of italo, space, and cosmic disco of the 80’s comes perfectly together on this release. The artist also aims to transform and create a modern EBM/Italo Disco scene, and this release is the first step towards it, according to Adrian.

Music video direction by Myrtille Moniot, who has also directed adverts for iconic brands such as Gucci, Yves Saint Laurent and Dior.

Berlin-based platform DARKDISCO.ORG kicks off 2022 with a beautiful release: A 12-track NAME YOUR PRICE VA album whose profits will be donated to help the local animal shelter. Several artists from across the world were invited to the project, delivering a wide scope of genres and soundscapes: Romance Disaster, Morze (SXDNS151), Randolph & Mortimer vs. Vittorio Di Mango, Zimo, Ruksby (SXDNS256) & MAN2.0 (SXDNS081/FREEDL002), James Demon, One Flesh Infektion, Psilodump & Berlin Bunny, Kokeshi Milk, Gegen Mann (SXDNS220), Format Error, and Notausgang spared no efforts to provide top-notch pieces.

Premiered here, the hammer collaboration between acclaimed British artist MAN2.0 and rising Russian producer Ruksby. “So Familiar” brings the duo successfully flirting with their EBM, Industrial & Cold Wave influences, resulting in a mighty and sturdy theme with a fat and bouncing bassline topped with proper percussive elements and crisp arpeggiated synth layers. We honestly expect the lads get together more often to bring to life more cuts like this.

Dame Area are Barcelona-based duo Silvia Kostance and Viktor L. Crux. For labels like Mannequin Records, B.F.E Records and their own imprint/organisation Màgia Roja, the pair have shared their raw, distorted take on industrial, minimal synth, EBM and post-punk, characterised by propulsive rhythms and DIY sensibilities. It's no surprise that their live shows are also widely renowned, Dame Area's sound lends itself perfectly to the stage, and on the group's third album they translate a similar "assaultive intensity" to the release. The first of two twin LPs, Toda la mentira sobre Dame Area / All the Lies about Dame Area explores "an original seductive idea of pop, laced with avant-garde subversion" and sees the pair push the boundaries more than ever before.

Teatre hails from Lithuania, a place especially dear to the Lux Rec team both for personal and musical reasons. For his first vinyl release Teatre produced six tracks which span from powerful, vital straightness to brooding resonant laments.

This record would not have been possible without Ernestas Sadau, Roman Sputnik, Kęstutis Lingys and Eivydas Kantautas of Digital Tsunami.
