“Ruines, Béton & Industrie” follows the 30-year-old friendship between Guillaume and Andrew.  They met in Grenoble, the French techno city, home of The Hacker, Kittin and Etant DonnéS. They also discovered rave culture together. It took almost 20 years before they recorded their first song.
Between reality and the digital realm, they started to record, compose, write and exchange what would become this LP around 2020.

Bordeaux-based, Guillaume works as an artist plastician and sound performer. He is known for his project The Garçon and performs under the moniker Po.Go.
Berlin-based, Andrew spends most of his time there and in his studio in Bretagne, France. He is part of the electronic Disco band called Acid Washed and has collaborated with Patti Smith and Jean Michel Jarre.

Andrew and Guillaume incessantly travelled back-and-forth between Berlin and Bordeaux, communicating via email, to create this record. 
LPS founder Assaf, first encountered Andrew in the local Berlin scene, and was astonished by his eclectic variety of electronic music; the type of art that fits the label like a glove. Beyond their sonic adventures, the duo inspired Assaf to rekindle his ‘not so hands-on’ virtues and express visual reverence, 
creating the album’s artwork.

 About the label:

Le Petit Signal (LPS in short) was born out of a passion to uncover obscure masterpieces, works that display both intrinsic coherence and immense attention to detail.
The concept and label emerged from it’s one-person-operated - Assaf Bomgard (as well owner of Punk label and long time mail order - Twintoe Records) during the pandemic, with its bizarre implications and the ensuing reflections about what is and isn’t possible in our new reality.
LPS is a minimal manifesto dedicated to experimental & electronic-oriented music and is manufactured in extremely limited editions of uniquely designed vinyl records. Each copy is stamped, numbered, and comes in a hand-glued, riso-printed sleeve.

Berlin-based imprint LPS (Le Petit Signal) prime the release of 'Ruines, Béton & Industrie', a brooding album from H.L.M. (Haute Lévitation Mutée) - the collaborative brainchild of Andrew Claristidge and Guillaume Laidain...Our pick 'Ruines, Béton & Industrie', emerges like a transmission from a forgotten brutalist utopia, space-delayed signals and chugging rhythms leading the audience into a sweat-slicked basement ritual on the banks of the Drac River. As the track unfolds, it mutates, shifting from a slow-burning dirge to a fevered hypnosis of dark disco arpeggios, acid-washed bass and ominous monologues dissecting dystopian behaviours in landscapes of steel and stone. The track pulses with the fractured heartbeat of an abandoned metropolis, where echoes of the past reverberate through the machinery of the present.

What do you get if you put two synthesizer sorcerers in the same room? In the case of Skatebård and Lauer, the answer is Trollkraft. Between them, the Norwegian-German partnership have hundreds of releases, run record labels and have wowed crowds across the globe. In short, the two tracks of Trollkraft are the product of some serious electronic talent. Rich and textured drum layers give way to strings and a vibrating bass for the title piece. Twists and turns abound, elements of disco and house brush shoulders with indie and italo as the pair tear down genre divisions. A 90s heyday influence that runs through both offerings, with “One Night in Geilo” taking its cue from house rhythms and a two-stepping melody adopted from that emblematic decade. Reimagining rave in their own effervescent and playful style, these strobe and fog veterans serve up a fat slice of glow-stick elation. Strings weave high into the dawning sky, bongos and toms reveling next incandescent synthines with just a touch of trance thrown in to add spice to this heady and euphoric mix. The latest addition of Roam Recordings offers three stunning remixes of Berlin based 80s New Wave inspired band Pardon Moi. Following the success of their singles “Addiction” on Emerald & Doreen Recordings and “Inside the Outside” on Nein (which has been featured on BBC Radio) the Berlin duo Pardon Moi consisting of Thomas Freudenthal and James Brook have penned the evocative “Power to the People” along with “Touch2Much” which have been released in original form on 7” vinyl from Hoga Nord Rekords. In the “Power to the People Remixes” EP, Roam Recordings has gathered together a dream team of top remixers - Damon Jee, Markus Gibb, and Curses - who each put their own spin on the originals. Damon Jee starts it out with an an energetic and anthemic version of Power to the People that’s sure to get people on their feet. Markus Gibb moves Power to the People into slightly darker and heavier territory with exquisite production that has become his trademark. Switching gears, Curses takes on Touch2Much and keeps the 80s vibe alive with a stylish upbeat dub that’s both quirky and fun.

All three of these remixes come together in an action packed trio of tracks that will surely be a go to when looking to get the dance floor movin’.
