Axe On Wax's Axe Traxx drops its second hand-stamped vinyl only release, a split EP featuring originals from Trudge and Die Roh.
After the well received first release, Axe Traxx returns with another collection of rough, raw, filtered house killer tracks. The first EP from Sonderr and remixed by Mall Grab (both Australian) was supported by many in the scene and this split EP showcases two different approaches to analogue productions. The raw in your face filtered House of Parisian talent Trudge and the always splendidly crafted grooves of Sagat and DJ octopus, aka Die Roh. Trudge's 'Give' sounds like a mix between Mall Grab and Ross From Friends, between Churches and Lobster Theremin: a distorted and in part broken 909 beat guides the cut, whilst a slow melodic loved up vocal creates the perfect summery vibe.  The limited 180g vinyl Axe Traxx 2 is out in late July !

Following a string of releases on Jungle Gym Records and U.T.T.U. related mini-label Vector Works, Intimacy returns to his HQ of DM Hardware for the “Welcome To My Life” EP. Across three reflective and cosmic originals, producer Parks Perdue unleashes an array of extra-lush pads, and deeply melancholic acid bass. Sci-fi atmospheres and nods to classic rave and electro squeeze their way into bricked waveforms… rough but not too rough distortion… and a hard hitting but bubbly remix by Belgian producer Innershades (@innershades) rounds out the 12”, solidifying it’s direct and inspirational intent. With “Welcome To My Life”, Intimacy adds another gem to his astral catalog.

Kevin Over returns to Kerri Chandler’s Madhouse Records this October with his ‘Lavender’ EP, backed with a remix from Seven Davis Jr.

Berlin-based producer and DJ Kevin Over has been on the rise over the past few years with a steady stream of output on the likes of Gerd’s 4Lux, Dj Steaw’s House Puff and of course Madhouse where he returns to here following last years ‘Where To Begin’ EP.

The original mix of ‘Penthouse Boogie’ opens with jangling metallic percussion, thunderous sub tones and dusty drums driving the groove whilst an amalgamation of choppy chords and stabs ebb and flow amongst hypnotic pads, hooky vocals and jazzy marimba tones.

Seven Davis Jr’s remix of 'Penthouse Boogie' follows, taking a more raw and stripped-back approach with a gritty drum groove, skippy hats at the forefront whilst easing in the original’s vocal chant, resonant pad swells, wandering marimba tones and a fresh, bumpy bass line.

Title-track 'Lavender' then rounds out the package on a Garage tip with swinging broken drums, hooky vocal phrases, murky bass tones and organ stabs.

Finally, Roberto S fits perfectly in the design of this Various. Half of Conga Radio with Jex Opolis and producer of an enticing house, the Canadian is often supported by Stamp The Wax or Les Yeux Orange. Faithful to his previous productions, he signs here "In Flight", delicious moment of lightness.
