This year marks 15 years since I started my service in the online underground. Time flies when you are having fun right?! I remember when I (as non dj) heard something on the radio back then, that was just it. Nobody put that on soundcloud or youtube for you to listen to again. I was telling myself there must be more people that want to listen to some tracks over and over again. That's how it all started. Ripping tracks from radio shows, uploading some cool tracks that were hot in that time period (remember post-dubstep & future garage?),there were even a few people sending me their music to upload! The moment I started doing the video edits was life changing. Not only for me but for all the people we (music youtubers) made hot in the era of lo-fi house. Happy to see some of them rockin big stages today!

Since then, this has been my everyday, 24/7/365! Paid my dues & made the sacrifices. Was it worth it? Damn right! Though I have to admit that I never intended to start djing myself. I was forced to by the community! I am happy I sold my bike so I can buy speakers and started.

Music took me around the world. With music I met a bunch of amazing people who did not hesitate to spend their money and time just to meet the guy they know from youtube. For this I will forever be grateful!

Like 5 years ago, also this time I have a mix for you! I just wanted to put together a mix full of my all time favorite jams. The result is an almost six hour journey through different genres & styles. I also wanted to include music made by people I have some history with. Baltra, Bambounou, Fjaak, Route 8 or Kettama, to name a few (and a whole lotta more!). Expect a lot of hits! Slow jams, House, Techno, UK sound and more.

Chateau Chepere's fourth outing is another blissed-out bit of sunrise material that carefully accompanies dancers from a darkened dance floor out into the light. Zurich's underground mainstay Eli Verveine kicks off with the zoned-out tones and dusty deep house drums of 'Morning Dub' before Andu Simion & Dragos Roban aka Two Metromaniac Guys then comfort with the dubby, lo-fi deep house of 'Execution Error' with its hazy melodies and leggy bass. Australian legend Tim Jackiw then brings things back into sharper focus with the crisp dub house of his classy closer 'Empty Theater'.

James ‘Harri’ Harrigan and Max Raskin are Glasgow duo Manakinz. The former is synonymous with Glasgow’s monumental Sub Club and his multi-storied Saturday night residency that’s been going strong for 33 years,‘Subculture’, alongside his long-time partner and fellow Glasgow legend, Domenic Cappello. Harrigan has put out a long list of releases as The Pa Pa Washington Trio, Daddy’s Favourite, H Foundation, DJ Harri & The Revenge, and Burnt Island Casuals. Max Raskin aka Affi Koman, started DJing in Glasgow clubs in 2006 with a residency at the Liquid Lounge. He was also resident at the legendary Sunday Circus for 9 fun-filled years, earning himself a solid reputation among heads as one of the city’s most thrilling and innovative players. He’s released on Sensu, Esa’s Rememory Music, La Dune, Posterboy, Lyceum Social Club and Huntleys & Palmers Clyde Built Compilation Series. 

Initially Harri and Max were just sending out tracks to friends in the know, but when Weatherall phoned Harri to say he was loving the music, they stepped things up and have since put out on Jacques Renault’s Let’s Play House, Future Boogie, Monologues, Refuge and Mitchell Street. With projects in the pipeline with Jasper James (Harri’s son) and for Ashley Beedle’s North Street, there’s plenty of quality to come in ’24.

Manakinz have put together this maxi EP comprised of eight cuts that range from headsy Alfos chug, to deep down dubby disco, to Detroit-tinged basement filth. You’ve got it all on this ridiculously good collection.

This label stands out for its unique approach, releasing just one album every four years on leap day, February 29th.  In contrast to his previous style, this album blends all his musical influences into a unique mixtape of instrumentals. 
 
The inspiration emerged when, caught in the circumstances of the pandemic, Carlo immersed himself in creating a sonic landscape that captured the essence of his experiences. Amid those challenging months, he found solace in sharing the book "Where the Wild Things Are" with his son before bedtime.
