From dark, sweaty warehouses to fresh, tropical open air, A.D. is constantly creating house anthems that move emphatic dancers no matter the environment. Currently influenced by the industrial side of house music, A.D. has been curating a sound that has put him between the worlds of house and techno.

Lately, A.D. has been on a hot streak when it comes to dancefloor weapons with recent releases like “Hello” and “Cray Ex” breaching the Beatport Top 100 in Tech House which has helped garner worldwide support from house music labels in Spain and Italy.

As A.D. looks to keep his streak going, he has gone back to his true house music roots with his newest, upcoming release “I Dance” which arrives July 22nd on SOL Records. From rock solid grooves to seductive melodic motifs, “I Dance” features A.D.’s music in a way we have yet to hear before. Boasting some of his most prolific production skills to date, “I Dance” is one that is sure to make the dancefloor shake.

Soreab presents his debut, self-released album, Muğla's Chronicles.

"I started working on this music project back in 2016, when I lived and worked in Turkey, in Bodrum (Muğla Province) for six months. Each track is informed by episodes that I personally went through while living in Turkey, like a diary of sounds and voices. During my stay there, I imagined myself as a child visiting Turkey for the first time, experiencing the everyday and learning new things for example how to play an instrument, like the Turkish Lute which is present in each track of the LP."

"I have let this project sit in a folder for some years until lockdown 2020 when in London it felt right to add something new to it, influences I didn’t have when I was in Turkey or simply to dive again into the Aegean Sea from the comfort of my home studio. Whilst keeping it true to its origins, I was able to turn and twist a Turkish Lute into something familiar to my present influences (UK Techno, Leftfield Bass, Dub, IDM, Jungle and especially Club/Rhythm focused Drums and Percussions) fast forward to 2022 and establishing a connection between these two worlds."

5 years of hard work in our East London studio, it's time for Burnin Music and his protagonists to celebrate with style.

We decided to contact all the artists that we came across in 5 years, whether they released on the label or not, and asked them for demos!

The quality of stuff we received was so brilliant that we moved from releasing a digital-only compilation to a vinyl record!

We are super pleased to introduce you to 8 tracks by 8 brilliant producers hailing from Tel Avi, Paris, London, Leipzig and Munich.

8 man, 8 definitions of electronic music but 1 common sound, Burnin Music.

To compliment the music we asked Theo Cerri, a talented Italian artist living in Edinburg, to design the cover.

leoleoleo is a project by Manchester based DJ and producer, Leo Burrell. After a euphoric debut single in the spring of 2022 which saw support from Horse Meat Disco, Sasha and Bill Brewster, as well as DJ sets alongside Romare, Cody Currie and Crazy P, Leo returns with a more melancholic yet still optimistic, tropes EP, landing on November 25th, featuring collaborations with jazz pianist, Rupert Cox and ambient guitarist, John Diver.

The tropes EP continues the half-glass-full aesthetic of the agadir/parapet EP, with soaring pads, arpeggiators and synth leads taking center stage, all underpinned by consistently broken kicks – there's no 4-on-the-floor in sight here. It has a definite home-listening dynamic, but all the tracks explore modern dance-floor tropes, hence the title.

The first and only single, red sun (out November 4th - music video ) was born out of a formative trip to Jordan in January 2020, with memories of crossing the sublime Wadi Rum desert in a jeep inspiring epic soundscapes, punctuated by a momentous breakbeat, pounding kicks and a funky yet machine-like bassline.

Opening track, yuánfen ft. rupert cox sees offcuts of jazz pianist, Rupert Cox’s forthcoming debut album sampled alongside an elusive ‘60s sample. More pads and analog goodness were added later by Rupert, with leoleoleo on arpeggiators, drums and arrangement.

Third track, esme ft. john diver is a collaboration with Glaswegian ambient guitarist, John Diver which was previewed back in April, leading to support from veteran, Bill Brewster as well as play-listing from EELF, Majestic Casual and Sasha, who added it to the burgeoning LUZoSCURA editorial.

Acting title track, trope, was written in the first lockdown of 2020, with a doomsday sensibility pervading throughout. Inspired by Joy Orbison’s Slipping EP, this deceptively slow number chugs with a driving energy from more broken kicks before unfolding into a huge bass drop which concludes the EP.

PREMIERE: leoleoleo - Trope

Cologne-based DJ and producer Philo makes her debut on Spanish label Miura Records with her "Paillettes" EP. Rooted deeply in UK Bass music and inspired by Progressive House, Philo combined these sounds, creating fast, club-oriented House with dubby and breaky elements.

"Ami Ritmo" es el primer sencillo del nuevo álbum de Fantasna, el proyecto musical que Sebastián Mella ha desarrollado desde el año 2001. Este material será liberado el día miércoles 01 de Febrero a través del sitio de bandcamp de Halcxn y en las plataformas de streaming. El álbum, en su totalidad, espera ser editado durante el primer semestre de este año.

En palabras de Fantasna, "este single, con orientación en la pista de baile, hace referencia a aceptar y validar, las diferentes y múltiples formas de vivir y ver la vida". Es una composición cercana al house clásico, con la incorporación de percusiones y arreglos de piano que otorgan a la pista un carácter rítmico, el cual se acentúa con una línea de sintetizador en clave acid, que aparece a intervalos durante el desarrollo de la canción. El resultado es una mezcla original, con movimiento y más luminosa, si lo comparamos con el anterior trabajo de Fantasna, Alien's Discotheque.

PREMIERE: Fantasna - Ami Ritmo [Halcxn]

Underground System returns to @razor-n-tape with the ‘Looking In EP’ -  a 5-track offering of fresh originals and remixes. Ranging from low-slung Balearic grooves, to driving left-field funk and urgent up-tempo backbeats, the record is a fine-tuning of the US sound, complete with their signature flute and synth soundscapes, driving percussion, and catchy offbeat vocal hooks. On the B-side, RNT mainstays Nenor and Clive From Accounts take two of the tunes into clubbier territory, with a pair of remixes that are primed for the dance floor.

One year after the release of Pegasvs' EP "New World Energy," Burnin Music presents "NWE Remixes," a digital package that breathes new life into the original material. This remix collection features interpretations from three distinct artists who each bring their unique sonic signatures while maintaining the essence of Pegasvs' vision.

Tee Mango, the respected English DJ and producer, transforms his selected track with his trademark warm, analog-rich sound. His remix maintains the emotional core of the original while injecting it with a subtle UK sensibility that's both club-ready and introspective. The reworked elements create a perfect balance between dancefloor functionality and headphone-worthy intricacy.

French artist Flabaire delivers perhaps the most transformative remix of the package. Taking a dubby, minimalist approach, Flabaire strips back the original to its bare essentials before rebuilding it with spacious textures and hypnotic rhythms. The result is a deep house journey that unfolds gradually, rewarding patient listeners with subtle shifts in energy and atmosphere.

Rounding out the EP is Spanish-born, London-based Beringei, whose broken beat sensibilities shine through in his contribution. His remix features ingeniously chopped percussion patterns that dance around the original elements, creating a sense of familiar disorientation. The standout element here is undoubtedly the treatment of Twyla's vocals, which are manipulated and processed into ethereal textures that float above the intricate rhythmic foundations.

With an already eclectic catalogue of music just a mere three releases in, London-based imprint Burnin Music Recordings looks to continue that trend. Stepping up to the plate on the fourth release is label head, Pegasvs, who is making his production debut. Featuring alongside him on the single “Drinking With My Eyes” is the multi-talented Xuli, a UK-based poet, singer and dancer. 

Together, the two manage to create a strikingly contemporary piece of music which pulls from influences across varying areas of dance music, and is already drawing comparisons to acclaimed groups Hercules and Love Affair and Azari & III. Enlisted on remix duties is none other than French luminary producer, Hugo LX, who delivers a deeper take on the original with shimmering cosmic leads, lush chords and a bubbly low end.

“Drinking With My Eyes” is not only meant to be consumed aurally, but visually as well. The accompanying video is a dazzling display of choreographed movement alongside unique lighting techniques that help to further engross the viewer. To top it all off, renowned fashion designer and Timberland’s creative director, Christopher Raeburn, provided the distinctive stylistic identity for the clip.

In short, “Drinking With My Eyes” is a modern triumph that comes as a complete package from top to bottom. A crossover with true global potential.

British-by-way-of-Marseille DJ Thomas Lesnier’s recent outing under his moniker, Pegasvs, and second release under his newly minted London-based label, Burnin’ Music Recordings, is a step in a new, exciting direction for this multifaceted producer. Straying from the hard-hitting, dubby House gems of his previous work, “Closer to the Sun (Laroye Remix)” comes as a gauzy, lush, soulful banger that is outfitted to soundtrack the onset of  simmering summer days and poolside reveries.

Pegasvs’ inspiration for the track stems from his world travels, as well as time spent in his native Marseille, a city on the port of Southern France, well known for its warm Mediterranean climate and stunning oceanic vistas. This eclectic, panoramic frame of mind informs the many layers of this track, borrowing as much from West Coast Funk and Jazz Fusion as it does Deep House. This much is clear from the outset of the track, as shuffling, ticking percussion kicks in, while meditative synths begins to shimmer with soft keys floating atop. Laroye steady kick-drum pattern then anchors the track before it sails away completely. Before long, those squeaky, G-Funk synths reach a crescendo as the backing vocals, led by Brighton’s Abi Flynn, harmonize the song’s central refrain. The track’s multiple breaks give it a chance to breath and emphasize some gorgeous and unusual, yet completely fitting, instrumental flourishes-- the most prominent one being Ben Hawden’s majestic flute solo, which lends the track an ethereal, jazzy undertone.

“Closer to the Sun” sees Pegasvs opting for a more languorous, easy-going sound, but one that is no less ornate and emotionally potent. The songs speaks to the artist’s communal ethos, trading in the high-octane, hypnotic House-Tech that he has built himself a name for, and basking in a more melodious, sunflecked style that radiates with pure joy.
