Berlin-based imprint Lightronics kick off their schedule with a full-length album of experimental club sounds and post-ambient textures from label boss Sasha Zakrevska aka Poly Chain...Standout track, ‘Elisiv’, unfolds like a signal sent from a dark, concrete fuelled future. With ultra-filtered hi-hats slicing through a sea of warped arpeggios and fragmented bass, the track pulls the listener into an oppressive, sweat-soaked underworld. The echoes of a long-forgotten queen, Elisiv of Kiev, reverberate through the synths as the track morphs into an all-consuming ritual - twisting, morphing and spiralling through snare-less breakbeats and dissonant bass.

He watched as the magnificent creature reared itself upward from its slumber. It was vast and tall – its shadow casting darkness on the space it left beneath.

It arched its spine, balancing precariously on two feet yet continuing to remain graceful throughout.

The night was young but the beast would stalk the land until the return of the sunlight in the morning. Its presence was enough to cause a shiver – those who had met it would not forget.

The clouds hung thick overhead, ominously so.

Subsai & AOS13 team up for a killer EP on Inshi. The Ukranian duo channel early influences, reimagining Trip Hop and doing so in the best way. This one has us feeling all sorts of moods.

Nemesis is a 15-track full-length spinner of experimental club sounds and post-ambient textures set to be released on the 25th of April 2025 on brand new label Lightronics. Even though the birth of the songs span a tweenager’s lifetime, they remain ever so coherent in their sonic qualities. A show of force and clear demonstration of artistic integrity from the Kyiv-born artist behind Poly Chain, Sasha Zakrevska, who describes the album as “a testament to my [her] musical journey up to this point”.
