The grinding acid assemblage of the best cuts from NYC's biggest Electro label on this their retrospective comp, is speckled with unreleased goodies and tracks from as far back as 96. Prepare yourself for heavy , bass-driven electro. This ain't no minimal experimental album. Even breaks heads will love tracks like Scape Ones "Android robotics," while Decals "From the Inside" can do some serious dance floor damage. An emotional ride with EMS's "Take my Time" takes the edge off of the overall acid feel of this album. Remember your squatting days in that abandoned industrial site? This was your Soundtrack!

Dark Vektor - Salimos de Noche

Gladio Operations closes 2024 with its tenth release, which bears the signature of the German producer Elektrotechnik.

This EP, entitled Kontrast, comprises three original tracks and two remixes. The A-side starts with Sigma, a rogue track with light trance touches and an appropriate psychedelic bass line. 
Russian producer Larionov returns to Gladio and gifts us his fantastic vision of Sigma, turning it into a more energetic piece destined exclusively for the hottest dancefloors. 
Side A ends with Kontrast, a track of aggressive rhythms and moulded with powerful dark textures.

On the B-side, we encounter Die Bestie, perhaps the most robust track and possessor of disturbing and tenebrous harmonies, an enigmatic journey with no return. 
The owners of the UHF label get back on track by creating remixes, being in charge of closing the EP, and offering us a deeper and more cosmic approach than the original track.

B2 - Elektrotechnik - Die Bestie (UHF Remix)

Maud Geﬀray and Sébastien Chenut, aka Scratch Massive, have been active since 2003. This year sees them return with another standout full-length ‘Nox Anima’ which was composed and recorded in Los Angeles and is a haunted world of slow and intense rhythms and vocals. It comes after previous albums 'Nuit de Rêve' in 2011, which featured the likes of Jimmy Somerville, Daniel Agust of GusGus and Koudlam and picked up more than 14m streams, and 2018's 'Garden Of Love' with over 20m streams and syncs to brands and TV shows like Yves Saint Laurent, Lancôme and Emily in Paris. This new album marks a fresh chapter for the duo, who have already left an indelible mark on French electronic music with their dreamlike and melancholic sound that brims with poetry and cinematic flair while having one foot in techno and the other in cold wave.

Carl Finlow has been a prolific and innovative producer for more than 30 years. Across hundreds of releases and a variety of monikers, he has explored every niche and mastered the art of making his machines talk to mind, body and soul. His sounds have come on cult outlets like Avoidant Records, 20/20 Vision and Syncrophone, and this marks his debut on bORDEL Records.

His ice-cold and funky analogue spin on 'You Can’t Hide' pairs electro rhythms that draw from greats like Model 500 and Kraftwerk with the majestic vocals of the award-winning French singer-songwriter Jeanne Added. They bring a calming soul to corrugated kicks and snappy snares that cut through the rumbling, gritty bass to make for a cinematic sound. An instrumental is more stripped and dark, so the bass takes on a menacing presence.

No Hope, No Fear is a new vinyl series in our catalogue combining 4 artists and a nod to the legendary Slovenian band Borghesia and our apocalyptic times.

Swedish duo Harlem Electronics is responsible for the meaty opening track Versausage, where minimal wave meets industrial funk. Fear side is rounded by American Kri family member Ole Mic Odd, returning with his signature haunting electro gloom.

Hope side doesn't necessarily offer hope but sure does help with escapism. Slovenian partner in crime 198319831983 gives an apt comment while twisting electro and EBM on Trustno1. The record finishes on a "high" note with the legendary Cute Heels ft. Duke MC Herton for peak-time club decadence. No Hope, No Fear!
