The water was rising quickly now against the tall concrete wall which was designed to prevent the city from extinction. As the rain continued to fall it was hard to make out the stars which danced against a speckled black backdrop millions of miles away. Most people were locked up in doors, staying clear of the downpour and avoiding the cold temperatures. Not him. 

In the middle of the night he liked to walk around this old place. remembering what it was like before the first floods had rolled in. The endless land and hills which had unfolded before your very eyes now somewhere deep beneath the surface of a dense blue ocean. What had once stood tall, a town of industry, had become a Hydro City. Now it was time to rethink it all, to rip it up and start from scratch.

Hyas is a Lyon based producer and a resident at infamous nightclub Le Sucre. This latest EP charges into the deepest, cosmic roots of electro, channeling sounds from well beyond this world. It's fast paced, rugged and raw. Just the way we like it...

The thirtieth anniversary release of the label is presented by the figure of the German electronic scene from Berlin - Mistigris, with his three-track EP "Shades of Blue", as well as an electro remix from the bright representative of the Moscow electronic scene Marco Lazovic.

Starting with the hypnotic broken electro journey "Ultramarine" where the atmosphere of the tune immerses in the upcoming journey in the electro remix from the Moscow talent Marco Lazovic. Dark as metal, acidic as an element, "Cobalt" continues its journey through the silver-white nebula, and the blue-green "Cyan" with its golden barrel and pritransovanoy atmosephrovoy leads us to the end of the journey on the waves of the future. 
The entire release is written on the old-school legendary Roland MC303.Undoubtedly Cyril and Alexander demonstrate their audacious productive approach by combining retrospective elements into future productions.

The first Sorry Records release of 2023 arrives via Nowadays and Mister Saturday Night/Mister Sunday co-founder Eamon Harkin. Four cuts of tunneling home hardware techno and deep machine jack from Northern Ireland-born, NYC-based producer/DJ/all-around luminary of the New York City dancefloor.

A bold celebration of intergenerational NYC dance music love too! Featuring remixes that run the gambit from the deep bass synthesis of All Centre co-head and rising Brooklyn bass star Sobolik to the signature sharp 2-Step and groove-heavy Purpose Maker style techno of Sorry Records family Escaflowne (Haus of Altr, Fixed Rhythms) -- two young producers that we find ourselves sharing the Nowadays dance floor with on a frequent basis.

Old Sage EP builds on Harkin’s rather prolific recent output that has seen stellar releases on labels they love such as Oklahoma City vinyl outfit Fixed Rhythms, Hollick and Seb Wildblood’s London-based Coastal Haze, and Eamon’s own Mister Saturday Night Records.

Skins continues forging his own path with a new label celebrating the uplifting and futuristic sounds of jungle, with a four-tracker featuring tracks with early support from Katiusha, Tañ and Frazer Ray.

Whilst some will know Skins from his days DJing regularly around Oxford, his run of self-released white label techno EPs or 2021’s underground hit 24 Hour Dub, more recently he has turned his attention back to the music which made him fall in love with it all in the first place:

“I vividly remember the effect that the futuristic sounds of 90s jungle and drum ‘n’ bass had on me as a kid, hearing snippets of tracks in video games and later stumbling across artists like Alaska, Future Engineers, Seba, Peshay and LTJ Bukem. After years engrossing myself in the cavernous spaces of dub techno, this record feels like a return to my roots, bringing my style into a new arena which still feels like home. The label will serve as an outlet for this and future collaborations with like-minded producers.” - Skins

Broken Lands EP commences with Neekeetone’s incredible ‘Murderer’, where a gorgeous evolving intro gives way to warped basslines and the artist’s ever-engaging drum work. The EP continues with the superbly talented Wez Walker making a first appearance on the label, showing deft skill at turning his hand to jungle sounds on ‘Under The Surface’, with creative choppage and mangled bass finding homes alongside classic vocal samples for a track which has been picking up lots of dancefloor action at our Codename: Amen events.

Bristol’s Eminence contributes her first solo track to the label with the rolling ‘Mix It Up’, which contrasts hypnotic rhythms and rolling breaks with more introspective stripped back moments and intricate drum edits. The EP closes on a high with Cold Leader’s ‘Play It’, an early hour’s brain-mangling gem full of old skool b-boy attitude which contrast with classic V era stylings.
