For several years now ISLA has been serving up the best in ambient, experimental and trance-driven creations, welcoming artists like Ambien Baby, D.Tiffany, Pillow Queen, NAP and Le Fe to the label. Next up they've called on Maara for 'A Potion Activated', marking her second EP following a debut on Priori and Ex-Terrestrial's NAFF imprint. Backed up by a remix and a collaboration from two label affiliates D.Tiffany and NAP, the release teeters 'between heaven and hell', delivering five trance-inducing rides into purgatory.

Morning Light is the new 7-track EP by Naarm/Melbourne (AU) producer Prizefight, featuring 4 originals and 3 remixes by the likes of Naarm favourites Sam Alfred, Cybernet and STÜM. Inspired by a music festival at sunrise, the EP is a gorgeous arrangement of trance and techno cuts that raises the bar for the Naarm New Wave with thoughtful songwriting, immersive production and a distinctly unique sound. Touches of influence from dub and 2-step can be heard throughout the release as Prizefight tastefully utilises these elements without being obvious or overpowering. Berlin-based artist, label founder, and promoter Marlon Hoffstadt is back after the brilliant release of his debut album ‘Planet Love’. Exploring Trance and Eurodance both musically and also philosophically, ‘Planet Love’ felt perfectly timed as its joyous melodies and spoken proverbs such as “take care, give love, because only love will set you free” allowed for a moment of positivity and hope. 

Providing more good feelings, Marlon’s next release ‘Hands In The Air Eurodance’ is dedicated to all those hands-in-the-air moments we’re going to miss this summer, with the EP encouraging you to explore those moments in “your living room or under the shower” instead. Being released on the 29th May under the new moniker DJ Daddy Trance, the first single on the EP ‘Lost In Trancelation’ is a rich, colourful track with a dazzling melody and evocative synths.

Brooklyn based Sentient State debuts on P. Leone's E-Missions, while fine Irish talent Cromby comes correct with a standout remix.
As Sentient State, Aaron Seth Vaslow is an avant-garde artist who seamlessly fuses acid, electro, techno and breakbeat into slick and futuristic soundscapes that work both mind and body. He also already released on Source Material and, along with remixer Cromby, appeared on the latest Nerang Recordings VA, which landed late July.
This is an absorbing EP right from the off. 'Welcome To The Sentient State' is icy cold, with a metallic mix of drums and hits powering you along while majestic and frosted keys ring out into the vast open spaces above. Soothing and emotive yet also hugely dynamic, it's a tasteful electro track of the highest order.
'Fear Is The Mind Killer' is just as kinetic, with a mix of rugged drum programming and warm bass, heavenly pads and urgent snares all making for a new sound that is part techno, part electro. 'A System of Cells' is a crisp, high speed electro track with snapping hits and far-sighted chords racing through the cosmos.
Last of all, remixer Cromby held a six year residency at the legendary Shine in Belfast, has released on Sulta Selects Silver Service, Feel My Bicep and Unknown To The Unknown and is a DJ who tours the world. His version of 'Fear Is The Mind Killer' a dreamy ambient track that eventually takes off on dark and tightly woven drums and bass. It's eerie yet beautiful and hugely powerful space techno.
