Darksphere was born in 2006 as a completely experimental sound project inside of a bedroom computer. Originally named as " Dark Atmosphere ", Darksphere evolved over the first 6 years into a much deeper experimental sound and into darker melodies, which initiated a new and unheard of type of music and included the experimentation of genres such as "drum and bass", "dubstep", and "breakbeat". Darksphere is and always will be the evolution of experimental bass music, with heavier and darker frequencies. Darksphere is originally from Fort Lauderdale, FL, and has taken much musical inspiration from local underground Florida artists in the  breakbeat / electrobass genres, such as " Dynamix II " and " Jackal & Hyde ". These artists serve as the leaders and pioneers of the " Florida Breakbeat " movement.

As of 2023, and after a nearly 10 year hiatus from producing music, Darksphere reemerges, to become the founder and creator of a new style and genre of music called " DrumSynth ", which can also be known as "Percussive Drum and Bass", "Future Breaks", or "Future Techno", however, it can not be compared to any other genre as it is completely unique in its own way. 

This style strictly incorporates percussion instruments only, arranged in complex and groundbreaking patterns and sequences. Within this style of music, only drum kits and percussion instruments are allowed (acoustic or digital), in order to be qualified as DrumSynth music. 

This genre solely focuses on drum programming and drum instruments only, with the ability to also distort, add FX, or modify the drum sounds and samples to ones liking, without limitation, therefore forcing the producer to expand the creativity on the drum elements only, and birthing this new style of sound. Absolutely no other type of instruments, samples, or vocals are allowed such as basslines and synthesizers, etc. In addition, the music must be all original, without the use of the samples of another track or another artist. No remixes either. This furthers the development of this genre, to maintain the creative aspects of making music purely using just analog or digital Drumsynths, Drumsynth VST plug-ins, and/ or Drum machines. 

This is a totally new approach for the drum programmer and music producer, and for the exploration of infinite possibilities with Drumsynth music, using percussion sounds and nothing more. Drumsynth in itself is an experimental type of music, breaking the barriers of what is possible with drum sounds and drum machines to the maximum, with an abstract twist.

Drumsynth music was never an idea to create something else, but rather a burning passion and deep desire to be able  to listen to a style of music that can satisfy a feeling of something much heavier, and stronger in sound, and have a much deeper impact on the soul, as no other genre could satisfy this feeling.

Darksphere continues to be strictly underground and experimental bass music, now with a completely new and innovative approach, and a heavier sound, that becomes the foundation of this new style that is DrumSynth electronic music. Pioneering this new style, Darksphere is reborn.
