تعكس اغنية حيّد الحياة السياسية والاجتماعية في فلسطين، حيث تدور احداثها حوالي سنة 1936 في ثورة فلسطين الكبرى اثر القمع والظلم القائم من قبل الانتداب البريطاني.
تدور احداث حيّد بين غبيشي الثائر وحسنى الجميلة بحبهما لبعضهم البعض. تقدم غبيشي بطلب يد حسنى ولكنه تم الرفض من قبل ابيها للاختلاف الطبقي الاجتماعي. 
هرب غبيشي وحسنى مما ادّى لاستعانة ابيها بالقائد ابو حنيك (قائد بيريطاني المعروف بجون غلوب) لقتل غبيشي واستعادة ابنته حسنى.
لقد قمت باستعمال صوت مسجل لبدرية يونس وهي فنانة عاشت في 1950 واضافة توزيعي وصوتي اليها لتجسيد حالة غبيشي وحسنى وأداء الاغنية التراثية. 
The story behind Hayyed 
“ Hayyed '' reflects the Palestinain life in a political and social aspect. Ghbeshi is a Jordanian bedouin who went to palestine to help his brothers fight oppression and injustice caused by the British colony in 1936.
As a result, Ghbeshi and Hasna chose to flee, prompting Hasna's father to request that "Abu Haniek", a British officer in the Jordanian Arab Army, return Hasna to his family. Abu Haniek not only accepted the offer, but he also dispatched a squad army equipped with mortars and tanks. Ghbeshi battled heroically but was killed in the end, leaving Hasna to narrate the story of her beloved man.

من اللاسلكي ولون الزِيّ
ونعرف حتى عيار الطلقة
اللي خزقت خزان الميّْ.
وحفظنا ارقام الدبابات
ومن ايّ معسكر جايات
ومين اللي جايي ورح ترجع
مين اللي جايي ت تباتْ
ومين ال ع الدور بتستنى
تغيّر شكل الشارع عنّا.

تغيّر حكي الشارع عنا

الرشاش ولوح التابوت

أغنية من منطقة وادي عارة وقرى رام الله - الضفة الغربية (فلسطين). واحدة من أغاني وداع العروس التي توصَف بـ'الغريبة 'لأنها تنتقل من بلدتها وحيّزها إلى بلدة عريسها. ولا شك في أن اغتراب العروس كان له في الماضي أثرٌ شديدٌ في حياتها لأن الاتصال بينها وبين أهلها كان معدومًا تقريبًا ومقتصرًا على زيارات أيام العيد. لذا كان هذا الزواج غير مرغوب فيه، وقد تمثل ذلك بطقس وداع العروس الذي تخللتْه أغنياتٌ حزينة وبكائية، كأنّ في هذا الوداع فراقًا لا عودة بعده. ومن هنا نجد في بعض أغنيات طقس الوداع التعبير «دولة سفر دولة»، وهو تعبير يعود إلى فترة السّفر برلك، أي فترة التجنيد الإجباري في عهد الحكم العثماني، التي كان فيها الشباب الفلسطينيون وغيرهم يُجنَّدون إجبارًا من قبل الدولة العثمانية للقتال في حروب قد لا يعودون منها.

La Tetlaa'i- A song from the Wadi Ara area and the villages near Ramallah in the West Bank, Palestine. It is one of the bride's farewell songs in which the bride is referred to as a "stranger" because she moves from her hometown to the groom's hometown. The alienation of the bride had a tremendous impact on her life because communication between her and her family was restricted to holiday visits. As a result, such marriages were unwanted, and this sadness was expressed in the bride's farewell rite which is full of tear-provoking songs as if the separation of the bride were eternal—like that of a soldier going off to war.
